Dropship pilot: Strap yourselves in, boys. 3 magistrates crawling out of ruins, all covered in zerg and human blood: Sons of Korhal, your timing could not have been better!
when I first played the OG mission, I actually overestimated the difficulty of the zerg waves. I just built enough bunkers and place the missile turrets strategically around the base. After that it was repair and repair. It wasn't until I realized that hitting the enemy bases were much easier than just sitting around.
"After failing to negotiate *anything* with Confederate command, Magistrate issued orders to all available and un-arrested forces to gather in last standing city for holdout evacuation, which wasn't alot due to Confederacy's mass arrests of any militia forces. Just as things seemingly couldn't get any worse, *they did:* The Zerg started mass assaults on any remaining Terran settlements, with 3 outposts falling already. Looking for all available options for any kind of support, preferably military type, Magistrate found him/themself without any option... except the extremists, Sons of Korhal, which conviently were calling right now. Their liason suprisingly was the defacto ruler of '^'Sons of Korhal'^', the Arcturus Mengsk himself! He ofcource made an offer that Magistrate can't refuse, and because of that Magistrate taken it up immediatly. But with a cruel twist of fate, Magistrate recieved a high-alert report: *Zerg scouts had already attacked Evacuation Zone.* When Magistrate and 2 Commanders arrived, they swiftly taken control of all remaining Militia and started reinforcing with their limited forces 3 city entrance chokepoints. Almost immediatly a request from on of the Vulture bikers: to send an SCV for bunkers and his bike's repair, which was damaged by Zerg scouting forces. During the battle of surviving 30 minutes, there were many Zerg attacks, one of which nearly broke the defence, and the other which almost killed everyone: The attack that almost broke the defence was an done from air, which the defences at the time lacked the means to repel - *Sky choked with Zerg flyers, later known as Mutalisks, that all compounded on Magistrate's part of defence. They rained down their parasityc glaives, which torn down everything they touched in a short time!* Gladly the Mutalisks got eventually taken down; The final Zerg push put all remaining Terrans in Evacuation Zone on a thread of death - *Unimaginable numbers of Purple Brood Zerg units poured into E-Zone defences on and on, amongst of which were even some Guardians and Ultralisks, eventually breaking the defence entirely!* Only the *ungodly* amount of Spider Mines and Missle turrets has delayed the Zerg long enough for Sons of Korhal to finally arrive, guns blazing on the Zerg breakthrough forces and evacuating every survivor they can in the process!"

3:45 Geez, still have 13 minutes left and the zerg already hammer the base super hard😂. An actually good depict of Zerg invasion though. Dropship pilots: "Strange, there's no one here." Harry Osborn meme inserted.
Meanwhile, on StarCraft Alternate… Surtur, Grendel, Leviathan, and the Brood rescued last mission face annihilation by the Protoss, and only the Kukulkan Brood led by Sarah Kerrigan can save them. They hunker down for half an hour as they weather the Protoss onslaught. By the time their rescue Yggdrasils arrive, the fourth Brood has been all but decimated, and the other three are down to a scant few and their own Cerebrates.
Funny horror story: all of my men and buildings were destroyed by the zerg. I lifted all of those structures off to the nearby sea iirc, where the Zerg can't touch it (i think i killed their overlords so they can't c us), until unfortunately they Offed the buildings until there was only the Command Center left. I waited till we reached 30 minutes, and I was helluva glad that Mengsk's rescue took place.
Yeah, I had two lines of defense for this mission. I didn’t just have several bunkers covering the exits, I also had several at the entrances AS WELL as right next to the bridges crossing the river to keep the chokepoints covered and cutoff.
This is quite the mission, dayum!! I can see the problem being that the most of the AOE units are not unlocked in the tech tree (and you can only rely on the spider mines...). If you got a bunch seige tanks and the valkries, I don't think this level of zerg enemies can do much.
If the AI send a single Overlord in the mutas horde, their attack bounce will destroy all the spider mines and let the zergling chew every turret left though
I remember on the first try with my friends on this three coop,we survived and even used full marines and supplies to protect it, and we survived PD: "Where did you studied tactics boys?"
