Honda is so practical and efficient of course all the truck haters bashed on the first Ridgeline. You have to admit, Honda was successful with the first gen and now successful with the second as a mid-size light-duty truck. Who cares if they have Accord engines. Those trucks are turning over 300K on the dash just like the Accords.
I don't off road. Been great the few times i was in deep snow. Been is some very muddy yards with my trailer attached and it was zero problems. Drove it on my family farm in the fields no problem. So super comfort, great gas milage and love the looks , it has been great city slicker truck.
@@jeremys8360 I own a 2010 ridgeline, all stock in terms of motor (helllaaaaa aftermarket other places) and I get about 15-16 in the city (traffic) and 18-20 on the highway. Best I’ve ever averaged was 20.4 mpg over 320 miles
@@amritdosanjh2854 I personally think the sounds of the civic Si na & turbo soound pretty good for a 4 banger. Would the ridgeline sounds better tuned to honda 3.5 v6 from the Acura TL type S? YES! But all these engines are going to ivtec with direct injection versus the screams for vtec redline past TLDR; it's good for what it has to offer, no great but way far from horrible
@@amritdosanjh2854 I dont think it sounds like a civic, its way lower tone and not the crazy high RPM's. Civics also alot like my last Audi end up very raspy and this does not do that
Less noise is better, I would keep it stock and enjoy the peace and quiet. Your neighbors will be thankful when they try to enjoy there backyard. But nice work anyhow!
I have a 2017 ridgeline with this mangaflow exhaust. My experience has been that the exhaust does not have a good sound at idle. Sometimes there is a weird pulsing sound in the exhaust, and the exhaust is not loud enough or have a good sound at full throttle. I took the exhaust apart and listened to the just the large can of the exhaust which seems to cause the sound I do not like. I have decided to remove the large can and replace it with straight pipe. The kit itself is well put together and easy to install.
I'm glad you are happy with your purchase. Maybe it was due to your recording device, but I watched the video through a hi-fi sound system and the engine noise inside the cabin sounded very artificial like it was pumped in through the speakers. In fact, I'm 99% sure it's artificial. I can't imagine that sound coming from the induction system of a V6. I used to drive a 2014 4Runner with a big 4.0L V6 and it never sounded like that even with aftermarket intake and exhaust. The Borla exhaust I put on my 4Runner sounded great under load, but droned a lot at cruising speed. Ended up getting rid of it for a true 5.7L V8 Tundra with the TRD Exhaust and that thing is a beast. Sounds good at any speed.
Sounds very good, but that price tag is a little steep! I may check out my local custom muffler shop that had installed a Magnaflow on my old Tundra years ago for less than $300. I know, I know... Inflation! Thanks for your video!
Do Ridgelines have cylinder deactivation? if so I would hate the sound of it back and forth at cruising speed like my Hemi did. Thanks, and sounded great from what I could tell.
OK maybe I’m too old but I don’t know why you would want to make your Ridgeline louder I love my Ridgeline 2019 RTLE because it’s quiet. My neighbor has one of those really loud Dodge pick up trucks that drives by every day. That would just would drive me crazy and give me a headache hearing it driving down the road. Oh well to each his own.
@@MacsForever1 I agree, I must be getting old! 51! Have a 2006 bought new! The quieter the better for a truck for me. That small drone on highway would get to me. And yes, I said it drones🙄😉 just a little!🤔😊
@@bigjay1970 Not to be mean but why spend money removing a perfectly good exhaust system. It's kind of like skydiving. Someone once said why jump out of a perfectly good plane! :)
@@MacsForever1 Not mean at all!🤗😉😇 Truth be told as mentioned getting older my tastes changed. Not at all against modding exhaust as my Corvette had a Corsa and made a great difference in that car and had zero drone. Believe me, I've had numerous nice cars and to me at this time in My Life, Modding a brand new ridgeline exhaust for no HP increase in itself makes as much sense to me a modding a Rolls Phantan exhaust. If it makes you smile at a light during take off that's all that matters!🤗😇😉 I just a matter of fact had a small exhaust leak after the minl cat and that drone sound before repair was great for the first 5 minutes than become ouch to my ears. Not the same obviously but it's quiet for me in a truck as refined as the honda. Never drove a newer model but I'm sure it's better in most circumstances.
Thank you so much!!!! I have an 14 odyssey and now this is exactly what I want one for mines! Nothing to loud or noticeable, something smooth and very nice sounds, thanks for this video 🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪
Man!! I got the Flowmaster FX Series on my 2018 Honda Ridgeline Sport 2WD & it don't sound CLOSE to good like this does, but that price you paid is a little too steep for me. Sounds AWESOME tho man.
That sounds Amazing! I have a 2019 Sport and I’m definitely getting that exhaust! It’s extremely difficult to find any performance parts for the Ridgeline, I’m not used to having a vehicle that has such a limited aftermarket performance parts market. It’s a shame really. If anyone out there knows of anything performance related for the Ridgeline please leave a link or a name of a place where I can find anything. Thx
Skitzo check JSPORTUSA they especialice in ridgeline aftermarket parts and any Honda as well , check my page on Instagram: ridgelinerules or check out JSPORTUSA page 👍
I’m staring at the wheels in the lot, and then I see school buses and maybe at least one school. That shit was funny. Dude got some stones or most likely dirt! That’s a joke but I did laugh. Great video tho. Not saying anything about schools and speed or any reference like that. Don’t get em all bunched up folks. I think I like this sound. We new to the ridgeline game. Black Edition baby.
Any updates on this exhaust on your truck? Has it gotten louder? Has it quieted down a bit? Any drone noise? Any issues or concerns after about 6 months of driving?
Dear Jason Magnaflow, Jimbo heartily applauds your exhaust upgrade. Makes that Ridgeline sound pretty badass. Jimbo gets off on the engine sound however. I-VTEC rules. Any thoughts on adding a AEM cold air intake kit on the Ridgeline? The few Ridgeline RU-vid videos with the cold air intake install make it sound pretty damn good. They claim the kit increases horsepower, however I don't expect much if anything. I just hope I don't get a red light on the dashboard.
Did you notice any MPG increases with the exhaust and lowering kit? I'm considering this model and would be coming from an Accord so the loss in economy is a concern.
none with the lowering. I did the camper shell so soon after muffler and its not lower but stayed the same. On Hwy trips doing 75mph i get about 23 per gallon
Nothing special other than the you most likely need to soak the 3 factory bolts in penetrating liquid wrench an hour before hand. I had to use a breaker bar on them so chance is high they could break off.
What did you use to darken the reflectors on the rear bumper, and what did you use to delete the chrome on the rear bumper. P.s. the truck looks amazing.
I got the wheel setup at www.discounttire.com You can get the system from www.burtmanindustries.com they also stock the springs i use and the running boards
I like the modifications. Does anyone know if Magnaflow makes an exhaust system like this for the 2016 and on Honda Pilot? Anyone ever tried adding ridgeline exhaust to a pilot?
My 2019 is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned. Great suspension, great interior noise level, and awesome ergonomics. Great compromise between power and fuel economy too. Couldn't be happier with it!
I wouldn’t buy a Honda if I wanted a loud exhaust. One of the best features of the Ridgeline is that’s it not like other trucks. But maybe that’s just me. If it’s only for sound, it’s not worth it
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i31XOFOrkpA.html 6:45 what's that noise? The main reason I don't want aftermarket exhaust on my ridgeline is that it can switch to 3-cylinder mode while cruising. With stock exhaust you won't notice the switch, but with aftermarket - I believe that's what I've heard at 6:45. Also, with 9-speed transmission, it shifts gears all the time and I think if I could hear it - that could also be annoying
@@jasonin2details not saying anything negative about your choice, I so some offroad with my 2017 Ridgeline, and did so with my 2009 also, so, good for you....do you have any recommendations for other tips?
You can’t be serious 😂 there’s no fucking rasp here this is one of the most tame exhausts I’ve ever heard I think you need your ear checked unless your trolling and I’m later to the party
