New format, new deck profile! Welcome to an updated deck list for Magnamon Armor Control! With a new Magnamon and some new tools at our disposal, there's plenty to enjoy with this unique archetype!

This is a great video! I really liked how you took the time to talk through each of the cards both specifically and in the broader scheme of the deck (which Veemon do what and their weaknesses, the ideal Heaven's Judgement play, how Awakening of the Golden Knight addresses the meta, etc.). Those are seriously helpful! Thanks for putting this together and sharing!

Ive seen a lot of suggestions for the red veemon. All our digivolve targets just need a veemon anyway, the discard can help us set up some of our effects by getting an armor to trash and just good draw power, and its another color to add to chimeramon

Thats certainly an interesting idea 🤔 having generic draw power is still a really solid mechanic, and helps draw into cards like Kimera that we lack a proper tutor for. Def worth considering...

I would cut down your level 3, level 4 numbers and imperialdramon to add 1 copy of magnamon x, more control options, and 1-2 copy of ruin mode. Nice deck tho!

I really enjoyed this deck profile, As someone who got into the tcg about 2 months ago, This video was insightful on how the deck can be played and the synergistic choices made when constructing it. I saw another decklist that runs kuzuha, but acts as an options control deck, rather than pure armor purge focus. Also enjoyed the pop ins when explaining a card.

Im glad you enjoyed! 😊 there are plenty of decks in Digimon that are fairly "solved", but there are alao ppenty that have a ton of room for creativity and innovation. Armor in particular has a metric ton of cards available in the card pool and can be played fully aggressive with cards like fire rocket, full control a-la Kazuha or ShadowSeraphi, or lists like mine that can play a more midrange game with elements of both. I love that the game lets you pick your playstyle and just kind of go from there in terms of what you want to play

I also have been messing with this deck, just so I can -41k a single target with a 5 color Kimeramon and a Heaven's Judgement. Probably never play it again after that. 😆 Our builds are similar, just some ratio differences, and I like how annoying ShadowSeraphimon can be.

Yeah how has ShadowSerpahi been working for ya? Ive been strongly considering him at 1 or 2 but im hesitant since there arent any effects that can pick him up

@@AvidHerpetologist Depending on matchup he can be quite annoying, swing with Marcus and I de-evo the thing you just evolved for free. Marcus loses that 2nd check if you de-evo the BT12 ShineGreymon from the first check, assuming it survived the spam of -DP from the shine player. Some decks just pop it with a when evo effect easily, but than you get a recover and -DP something by 4k-20k, depending on security count, Best at 1 or 2. I will be giving that Imperialdramon a try. Thanks to Kimeramon, getting a Lighdramon under it from trash, also increases that plays consistency.

I honestly just wouldnt play this deck in UC 😅 there are a lot of decks that translate over well and can compete, but decks like this kind of live and die with their color diversity. You could probably TRY something around the armor theme, but you lose Kimera, Awakening, Heavens Judgement, heck you cant even use the more aggressive cards like Fire Rocket or Armor Texture. I personally recommend playing this deck in the regular format and trying something else out for UC

Thats fair! The list i put together is kind of a blend of armor rush and armor control. I kept some of the extra colors in the level 4 slot to maximize the value of Kimera and Judgement plays while not leaning into that aggression a-la Fire Rockets, etc. I tend to favor more midrangey builds and couldnt think of a better way to describe the deck, i feel like it leans more towards control than aggro 😅

magnamon bt13 should be at 4 if you are playing magna X you need 8 copies of magna

Idk about that one, MagnaX's effect is usable with any armor form, it doesnt strictly rely on Magna. Its easy to just Jogress into Shakkou or Kimera and normal evo into MagnaX, it doesnt require Magnamon to be maxed. Heck, Armor Control has existed as a deck long before we even HAD a second Magnamon, the extra copies just add a little consistancy 😅 BT13 Magna is a solid card but as a 3 coat evo i dont think it warrants being run as a 4 of, its not nearly as impactful as BT8 Magna
