You should be thinking about magnesium! Nowadays many people are deficient in magnesium because of the stress-magnesium depletion mechanism. And because magnesium is necessary for over 300 cellular processes, you will feel it if you don't have enough.
We know magnesium is important for:
- ATP and energy production which is why people without enough magnesium feel depleted.
- Proper immune regulation.
- Thyroid health and function.
- Glutathione production inside the thyroid gland.
- Cortisol regulation and metabolism.
The ideal range of magnesium intake from all sources is around 300 to 400 mg per day the majority of which should come from food sources.
These foods have the most magnesium content:
Pumpkin seeds - 156 mg/serving
Chia seeds - 111 mg/serving
Almonds - 80 mg/serving
Spinach - 78 mg/serving
Cashews - 74 mg/serving
Peanuts - 63 mg/serving
Cereal - 61 mg/serving
Soymilk - 61 mg/serving
Black beans - 60 mg/serving
Edamame - 50 mg/serving
Peanut butter - 49 mg/serving
Potato (baked) - 43 mg/serving
Brown rice - 42 mg/serving
Yogurt - 42 mg/serving
If you are unable to eat these foods then you can make up the difference with magnesium supplements. Magnesium glycinate is a great way to increase whole-body magnesium quickly and efficiently.

Hard to get enough mag from foods since the soils are so depleted. Better to take a liquid ionic form liek REMAG that goes right into your cells.

Many of these magnesium rich foods are directly opposed to the video I watched with you and a guest yesterday where you both stated to avoid gluten, soy, and sugar. Most peanut butter has a lot of sugar unless you get organic peanut butter- most don't. Also, I was advised not to have soy because this adversely affects the thyroid and in men contributes to man "boobs". Advice is so contradictory.

@@sleepisthecousinofdeath7395 goes to show how misinformed people are..about sugar..
@dinahsoar6982
@dinahsoar6982 Год назад
It's easy to find peanut butter that doesn't have sugar. The only products on his list contain gluten that I noted are cereals...there are all kinds of gluten free cereals on the market...and it should be easy to find one that is also low in added sugar...soy milk reduces inflammation in the body...but you can avoid soy if it's a problem for you b/c there are many other foods on the list that are good sources of magnesium. I avoid soy and sugar but that doesn't mean I never eat soy or sugar...I limit my intake of bath..gluten isn't a problem for me so no need for me to avoid it. Adjust the recommendations to your needs. If all else fails, take a magnesium supplement. I've supplemented with magnesium for years b/c it helped me with my IBS...my favorite is magnesium citrate. I have trouble swallowing some pills so I get the gummies which do have sugar but I cut back on my sugar intake elsewhere.

I guess this Doctor is US based, the obsession with "per serving". He then said, pause here to see serving size, goodoh I thought, but no info! Some of us can work out the maths if given a PER 100g or ounce. Anyway, are these amounts available for absorption? Other Doctors on YT say not best from plants, 'coz of Oxilates I think it was?

This would be true if these foods didn't also contain phytates and oxalates, which inhibit magnesium absorbtion.

Yikes, top 4 apart from pumpkin seeds are EXTREMELY high in oxalates which are not good for anyone. Oxalates are literally sharp shards that damage tissue. Secondly, they are unstable and so bind to critical minerals we need. (Magnesium, calcium from bones, etc.)
