@@matthewallen2273 But she's not the powerful psychic mutant that Charles was. I know in the comics she has the Phoenix Force dunno about the series as I remember the Phoenix at the end of the Dark Phoenix Saga takes a bit of life force from the X-Men to revive Jean as penance for it's misdeeds being overwhelmed by human emotion finally purging itself of it when Jean died and it leaves earth.
He singlehandedly funded all of the futuristic tech of the X-men, while maintaining and expanding on a mansion, regularly replaces a supersonic jet, and has enough political cloud (aka big doner) to move the mutant cause on the political scene, all this while having no job or discernable revenue stream. He clearly must have inherited massive assets which are well diversified and invested to continue making returns in the millions. All the properties, all the patents, all the shell companies and investment portfolios are worth probably hundreds of millions. That's more than enough to fill out a book, not to mention that Charles probably wrote an extended forward to Magneto explaining what and why he was doing it and asking him to make an honest attempt at redemption.
@@chazz30000 I get the feeling he had his own skills that allowed him to make considerable amount of money. He might have been a contributor to parties and candidates' campaigns but with his skills he could give them warnings about issues. That can generate more "political capital" or clout than money. He probably told him how to manage the funds among many other things.
An evil laugh would make you think he's immediately evil (and paint any good action he does as a subversion), but without a laugh, it's more ambiguous, which makes you go think he can go any way any time. I think this was the right choice.
Magneto: The Last Will And Testament Of Charles Francis Xavier As You All Will See: His Fortune, His School, Everything He Built, Everything He Fought For, Now Belongs To Me, My X-Men.
Which is a retcon. Angel was never a member of the team in the cartoon (and Iceman’s cartoon introduction technically was as well, mostly for suggesting anyone other than Xavier knew Magneto before the series started).
@@TheRealHerbaSchmurba yeah, I did, and I've certainly enjoyed it. I think the writers wrote '97 in a way that makes it easy for people who haven't watched the original to have fun watching it.
Not all villains deserve a redemption. Coming from his background, Magneto still believed humanity will never excepted mutants despite trying to honor Charles’ memories. cyclops is a better person to lead the X Men.
*ABSOLUTELY NOT.* Magneto can't, by nature of his character be the leader of the Xmen. They want the same things, but don't believe in the methods acceptable for getting there. This twist just doesn't work maaan
@suchiuomizu For a while. Not for long. Because the moment something happens to his people, like, oh, I don't know, Some mutant hater taking Storm's powers, the man sees red. And I love him for that. It's obvious that he cares about mutantkind just as strongly as Xavier. But the line in the sand is different for Magneto and the Xmen. Let a bunch of Mutants get publicly wronged and the people don't react the right way. Magneto isn't coming out that mansion with a message of peace. He's raining hot metal and vengeance on EVERYONE involved, and anyone who gets in his way can catch them hands on his way through
That "trash series" is doing quite well for itself in terms of ratings and reviews. You're probably one of those people who thinks Downton Abbey was a brilliant show.
