Pyro: "Would've killed the Professor given the chance." Magneto: "Charles Xavier did more for Mutants than you'll ever know. My single greatest regret is that he had to die for our dream to live." Hard to match that exchange.
This was meant to be a continuation from graduation day( Unneeded in my opinion). So charles isn't really dead, The world thinks he's dead, but In actuality , he's chilling with his Shi ar girlfriend... Unless this is a retcon and he did die
It's not that Magneto has changed, but rather, he's swallowing his pride in order to uphold what he believes to be the spirit of Xavier's Will. Magneto still doesn't believe Charles is right, that humanity can accept mutants, but he's allowing himself to be proven wrong out of respect. He believes Charles has earned that much.
@@herooflight7931 the problem is that when the Empress took Charles with her, he told the X-Men and Magneto that, while she may find a cure for him, it could take years, decades, and probably by the time they return all the people he knew would be dead, by all purposes, in their minds, the professor is Death
I like how both the latest comics and this show his respect for her. In X-Men: Red and the recent Ressurection of Magneto their development is pretty great.
Fun fact: in the comics Dr. Doom was also entranced by Storm upon meeting her. Unfortunately he trapped her in some sci-fi material, essentially turning her into a statue to forever preserve her beauty...which backfired horribly due to her claustrophobia. Turns out her powers still worked while trapped in there.
Magneto when drinking tea: Ah Charles Xavier would have liked this tea. Magneto when flying around: How I wish my friend Charles Xavier could have joined me now. Magneto when stopping thieves: My magnificient friend Charles Xavier had a vision for humanity, and you would have made him very dissapointed. With this said, I think youtube convinced me I need to watch this show.
Same old Cyclops. He just can't keep his hot temper under control. But his distrust of Magneto is understandable given that they have been fighting him for years over conflicting points of view.
Well Cyclops killed the Professor in the comics. There is Storm but she gives speeches during combat. There aren't many left to lead. Maybe Morph can permanently turn into Cap and take over :)
@NukemDead In the comics, I could swear that, when Magneto became leader, the original X-Men Cyclops, Jean, Hank, Bobby, and Angel left. Oh well, I'll take it as it is. I like Magneto as a hero while...........it last!
@@kenroycherrington148they didn’t have Scott and the original 5 x-men leave because the 90’s version of X-Factor, the one lead by Havok, Scott’s brother, Alex already exists within the show’s universe( the members appeared in the original several times; but particularly in the episode “ cold comfort “ where they fought against the X-men).
@@fmthebaron he and Havok were both leaders of the Team at different times in the 90’s. I’m referring to the Peter David X-Factor run. Havok lead that team
When Magneto commented that they realized that Xavier might have made a mistake, I think it stuck with Scott and Rogue throughout the series. And we saw it culminate in last week episode.
Magneto and Charles wanted the same thing, but the methods were different. Magneto basically comes from suffering , and Charles always in comparison had a better life. Magneto was Charles's problem he used the X- Men , when he alone should have dealt with Magneto. Charles's legs were the only things that didn't work, nothing was wrong with his power. He sat behind a desk and made others clean his mess.
could you be able to explain please? last i remember, watching TAS, and not in order, he was stuck in a realm between time and space approaching towards some structure where, unknown to him, Apocalypse was conducting his latest plan of power. not anticipating him, Apocalypse was thwarted by both Bishop's aid and the X-men.
If it's anything like the comics, he did genuinely try to adhere to Xavier's beliefs for a while. However, certain events (Mutant Massacre and Fall of the Mutants) force him to become militant again.
Ok, not liking Jean here. Cyclops has a point. And even if Magneto were being honest in that moment only, it would be a start, it could put minds at ease.
One thing I didnt like about the older series is that sometimes is bounced around too much and made certain concepts... unnecessarily confusing... I actually think this version might actually be an improvement... and thats saying an effing LOT!
I find this so horrendous .. Charles hands over the team to Magneto when it was clearly Cyclops' turn to step up? And the team just accepts this? Jean is not scanning his mind to figure out what's up? I am not impressed by the writing so far
a) Cyclops and Jean where leaving. b) Magneto is too powerful to ignore c) Magneto has helped and even saved the X men in the past more than once (in the show and many times in comics, he has even lead them) d) Magneto and Charles where "enemies" because of ideas but thrusted each other and had a lot of respect for each other (did you watched the show?). They even fought together against Sinister. e) By the end of the show, last seasons, Magneto tone changed a lot. He even saved humans from mutants in Asteroid M.
Correction 1: Magneto said closest to a goddess. African tribes used to worship her as a goddess, hence the history, emphasis on African tribes. Correction 2: Storm was not an omega-level mutant in the 90s and in the two decades that followed after the show. Jonathan Hickman upgraded her to omega level only in 2019 when he literally removed the exclusivity and superiority of being an omega-level mutant. He not only gave the term a laughable definition, but he also included many mutants on that list. Prior to Hickman's tinkering, being omega-level meant that a mutant was truly powerful not only for their destructive capacity on a planetary or galactic scale, but also for their ability to conquer death and/or create/rewrite realities. It was a pretty short list of truly godlike mutants which included Jean Grey, Iceman, Vulcan, Franklin Richards and Quentin Quire. Storm didn't make the cut. Neither did Magneto. Using Jonathan Hickman's definition of omega-level would mean that Wolverine could also be omega level if his healing factor did not have any upper limit. If Morph's shapeshifting abilities had no upper limits, he'd also be omega level. So you see, there's nothing impressive about Storm finally being called omega. She wasn't part of the original omega level club.
Oh shut up will you? This sentence barely even makes sense, you’re genuinely incoherent. I can’t even respond to it bit-by-bit it’s basically babble Do you have an actual opinion aside from ‘I don’t like this, so it’s woke’?
Emma Frost was still a member of the Hellfire club when the 90s cartoon was originally made. So Emma with the X-Men is something they would have to establish later as weird as that may sound in 2024
