It's been a while since you posted your comment, but if you haven't yet, I recommend you listen to her album Strange Mercy. It has kinda sparked in me a renewed interest in music in general, it's *that* good. Actor is another really great album of hers, also recommended. And then there's her amazingly cool collaboration record with David Bryne, Love This Giant. Basically, all of her stuff is great, but Strange Mercy is probably my favorite of hers.
Haha fuck that, I love that "Martha My Dear" is about a dog. I mean, let's just all accept that for most of their career as a band, The Beatles were a group of young men with "fuck all" attitudes who just happened to have an incredible musical gift. That aside, though, St. Vincent is great and this was a great interview, as are most of hers. QTV is still best, though.
I’ve I’ve heard her use dirt eater which For me had no associations with anything except maybe people who are compelled to eat clay for missing minerals which I also find it really strange but I miss hearing it pretty sure she sang it when I saw her in 14
I just came here to look at a comment someone made and had to see this interview again and I wish I hadn't because I have just got to say....What the F is she doing with her left hand @ 0:47 @ 2;56 ? Nonsense ! Bla bla bla @ 1:16 = Berklee was over her head and I don't like to work hard at her craft but it's cool to I say went there. The drama at 3:34 with her head is all contrived, purely for show and doesn't feel it in the least .Posing ! So@ 5:06 don't write lyrics that are intelligent and poetic and make sense like people like Paul Simon or James Taylor do Just put together words that rhyme and let people interpret the nonsense anyway they want ? Ya, I know the Beatles did it from time to time but not most of the time, but they were the Beatles. .........Can I edit this ?
