@@williammaguire3225 Annie Clark is her name. I love when she plays her more melodic stuff. She's so skilled but I am not super into her more experimental stuffs.
not super crazy about her music *loved her first album* but jeez she is so damn talented. such good taste. such a cool person. we are lucky to have her around.
An absolute wonder of an artist. These songs are very difficult to ;play, and she's just knocking them out like they're 'smoke on the water'. Once in a lifetime talent
It's hard to know if somebody is a great player until you hear them on acoustic. Annie convinced me on that short Steely Dan piece. I wish I could have heard more.
HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT. SHE PLAYED/SANG A TOOL SONG!!! All I've been thinking about since I "discovered" her is how much I'd love to see her collaborate with Maynard! Seems like she might be on board...
Maynard is well past his prime. It would be a very underwhelming feat if it did happen. I like Puscifer but the latest tool stuff and apc stuff is just a big bore fest. He's lost his intensity
@@user-yg4dr8po4p Man, I hate thinking that about Maynard! But yeah, I forgot how long ago most of that music was actually made, just like I forget how old I am myself now!!! 🥺. The last "new" Maynard I discovered was Puscifer (The Humbling River!!! O M G!!!) and that was 6 years ago damn! N/S when it was actually written. I kinda lost a lot of time for awhile there being homeless and addicted and living totally off the grid....
St. Vincent is of course, awesome and I'm so happy Annie Clark is getting more recognition these days, but also very cool of her to play a Tool song. A lot of people are taking a shit on Tool these days, calling them elitist or making fun of fans, making fun of the album release etc. And that's all ok, jokes are jokes. But let's not forget the unparalleled music they made for 20 years. St. Vincent has been on the scene for some time, but I do believe the best is yet to come, hats off to Annie Clark and the amazing music/lyrics she produces. Big fan!
She played Nirvana, Zep, Hendrix, Tool, Pantera AND said Billie Holliday was a huge influence? If wasn’t already in love with Annie this would have made it happen.
She is giving me very much Diamanda Galás vibes but far more chill with this look. Like, she might have a gun, but she isn’t telling me that she will blast people away... yet... but still. It could happen.
@@larochelleben Doesn't matter when se was born. It's about the vibes. She's obviously influenced by the alternative rock of that days (no just by that) and even that setting has got resemblances with 90's MTV.
@@FloydtheBarber8384 Viewed that way, yes, I agree with you, totally. And she seems much cooler in this kind of setting than on stage, with the femdom attitude and stuff...
