That’s actually the correct play two preagress raisers and he’s not in good position any pro would Fold there problem is these people are bozos and are very aggressive and don’t play optimally
I thought that you were exaggerating, there are always silly stuff in all streamed hands. But now I feel like stopping watching halfway, this is too much...
@@Ieatsouls8787 I have folded kk preflop in 9-10 seated tables 200-400bb deep against the world's tightest nits many times. Their 5bet range is aa only.
This Commentator deserves a RAISE for letting us hear the action instead of "OMG HE FOLDED QUEENS? QUEENS? OMG RYAN HERE COMES THE DOOM ZOOM HERE IT COMES" Thank you to the commentator.
I don't like running it twice. Either once or three times, but chopping when you're ahead is so depressing. Also the more times you run it the more outs are removed from the deck when they hit.
@@paulg6274 before any cards come out, yes of course it's the same EV. But once the cards come out the EV changes. Running it more times reduces volatility.
@@jeffshackleford3152whole table fucking limped and the 3 bet was a min click. This is the worst table of poker ever and buddy acting like button and BB have aces and kings and nothing else in their range. Magnus is opening 97s for Christ sake. Easily the worth fold I've ever witnessed that wasn't miss reading a hand. You can't even argue it's some super deep stacked soul read vs like a 5 bet with 200 BB's behind. The guy is playing like 60 BB's effective it's the most slam dunk all in ever
@@paulg6274 Call and then what? The pot is now 2x his remaining chips. He knew that if he misses, he would feel obligated to go all in chasing a 25% river draw. So he got out before all that. A reasonable fold. I swear, so many people on here have no idea how poker works!
Anyone who says you can’t make money in live poker in 2023 needs to watch this hand. Magnus’ all in on the turn was literally the only decision a player made the whole hand that wasn’t awful. Get me in this game!
Why are they all talking about what other players have when its still 5 handed also? Its like they've all watched a few hours of TV poker and are now all role-playing as Daniel Negreanu without any understanding of how the game actually works.....
@@dansrod5952 Crazy how the mind works. Probably the best chess player that ever existed and can remember move number 6 and 11 from a 1975 world championship, but can't figure out how to squeeze and release chips.
@@nothingtoseehere1980 What? It's not a skill. A 6 year old can learn in 5 minutes. He's been playing poker for awhile now and a simple observation of him not being able to shuffle his chips is noticable.
I like the all-in here. He doesn't want the flush draw which is feasibly the only thing that beats him. Don't let them see the river cheap and then decide whether they can take the whole pot or just fold. Make them pay now to see it or fold and avoid the risk entirely.
An advantage Magnus already has regardless is people are intimidated by his intelligence. They are probably thinking “he could also be a poker genius.”
although chess and poker are both games of skill.. the problem is where chess and poker differ and being good at chess does not translate over to poker. the strategy to poker is far different and a chess genius will pick up the game of poker easily and perhaps become very good very quickly.. but they dont have any advantage
@@StarkVandalez yes, but you could argue that even poker is a think ahead game much like chess. Poker is very much based in luck as well. Not saying there is no skill involved at all tho; just saying Magnus has mastered arguably the most difficult board game ever to exist, so poker is nothing compared to that.
@@MrLeeStories every game and sport is a think a head game. Many people from Magic the Gathering games moved over to poker because of the strategy involved. I would say card games are more in line with poker. not chess. The only similarity in poker and chess is the ability to learn how to understand another players patterns.
@@antonellaluque4532He probably could be in much less time than other players. The ability of GMs to memorize hundreds of chess moves in advance could be amazing if he memorizes GTO charts and solver solutions.
I don't know which is worse. The guy folding QQ preflop or the guy folding the open ender on the flop in a huge pot. These guys must just be there for the conversation.
I NEVER run it twice. I did it once when opponent flopped the nuts. He begged me for 3 minutes to run it twice but I kept saying no once finally I said okay. We chopped.
"Hedge their bets"? Running twice isn't hedging, it just reduces volatility. Nobody's equity changes. So I'd happily let them shove every draw and we can run it as much as they like
@@paulg6274 you're missing a factor. Pot size is important too. Lets say you get in an 80/20 10 times. Eight are hundred dollar pots. Two are a thousand. You win your 8 pots, but lose the two 1000s. You achieve your "EV," but lose in reality. People that say running it multiple times has no affect don't understand math properly
I thought I was seeing things. I blinked and there was no QQ on the screen. Got to the flop before I went back to see him fold QQ. How does he not jam? 🤯🤯
Most of these comments don't even understand what happened. First, this is a cash game, not a tournament. There is no ICM pressure. Second, relative to the blinds everybody is pretty deep. The blinds are 25/50 and almost everybody is 120-130 blinds deep. Third, after everybody calls, MC makes an 8x raise to try and scoop the blinds/calls. This is a pretty bad raise because not only is it extremely polarizing but it's incredibly obvious what MC is trying to do. Fourth, considering MC's 8x raise, Nate's minimum 3-bet makes perfect sense. Even with the minimum 3-bet it's now a 16x pre-flop raise. After recognizing what MC is trying to do, Nate tries to squeeze. Fifth, I have no idea what the hell Kian is doing. If you're folding QQs pre-flop in a cash game to an obvious 3-bet squeeze there are better ways to lose money. Like setting it on fire.
@@SethCorbinMusic lol, listen poker is not about the results, its about the right decisions. this QQ gameplay it is either very stupid or very brilliant, not somewhere in the middle, and because of that there is no consistency . Results will eventually come if you made the right decisions in the long run.
@@laotse_ Kasparov is a legend but chess has evolved since his time, both him and Bobby Fischer would get smoked by Magnus. He is more consistent at a higher elo than they ever were. That's not to say though that they weren't the greats of their time.
@@laotse_Kasparov you can argue might have been a better champion because he held his title for 20 years, but Magnus is definitely the best player ever.
Nick gives me hope for his generation. And I'm typing this before I see the river outcome. He knows his tile and perception of others and what he's perceived as. He's young but he's sharp, knows when to speak, vidulant, smart, but most importantly doesn't act on emotion impulse and very mature thinking for his age. Not to mention in few years gon be a good looking stud with confidence and humility in sync. Nicks true potential is yet to be witnessed, mark my words!
Two things: 1. The guy who folded QQ pre-flop is wrong. There's no reason for it. So, for those saying it was right just stop. It was an incorrect fold period 2. Botez was totally into Magnus. Wonder if he got the digits?
The fold of queens preflop at this stack depth looks absurdly bad. As does the fold of an open ender on a rainbow flop with those pot odds and implied odds if hit.
NOT ripping it in with Queens in that spot, especially being low stacked, is ABSOLUTELY fucking mind blowing. Holy shit these guys don’t know how to play cards……Holy Christ on a stick……
Everyone’s talking about the QQ or J9. But what ab the K9 cold call of a 3 bet pre flop?? With 4 players still behind, one of which is the original raiser. The J9 and 92 pre are very lose as well. At a sensible table QQ gets it all in, magnus folds, Bryce calls off I’m sure. QQ holds for a medium size pot
Half this table looks homeless. The other half look like they are in high school. But everyone at this table makes more money than this comment section. FML
Mariano must have felt like an old man sitting with these scrubs. I cringed when I heard one ask “how many shots have you had”. Straight out of high school comment.
Folding JJ isn’t understandable considering how loose everyone was playing that night. That said he’s not a poker player. Apparently he’s only either player once before or twice before so he doesn’t realise that was a very very obvious jam to someone who plays poker.
