I watched it being built from an office on the 27th floor opposite...it is the most amazing skyscraper I have ever seen along with the Banyan Tree Hotel which I ran up in 15 minutes. Bangkok's buildings are the most heterogenious mixture of different styles in any city in the world but some of them are jews of originality and imagination.

Mahanakhon is the new iconic tower of ASEAN. Bangkok has been the MOST VISITED city in the world for 2 years in a row. The number of tourists in Thailand ranks the top 10 in the world surpassing Malaysia. I don't know why the Malaysians like to compare and show off when talking about Thailand.

I have just been there a few days ago and I have to say that it’s breathtaking luxurious. The elevator is silent, very quick and you don’t even feel it moving. The whole interior is so nicely done. I went to their restaurant at the 76 floor and the food and service was amazing. The views were incredible and the rooftop bar had amazing cocktails. There’s even a glass panel hanging over the edge of the building you can walk on. Amazing building👏

Since this video was made, Siam Icon mall was built and would have been the tallest building in Bangkok. The "Pixel Building," as it is known decided to extend their building just enough to retain the title of tallest building.

Now, the second tallest building in the world, PNB 118 with 678.9 metres high at Malaysia 🇲🇾 are the coolest looking building in Asia Pacific region, far cooler than any building from Thailand 🇹🇭 😊 .

Been to both places, Thailand and Malaysia are beautiful countries. Thailand has more visitors because it has better and more various travel destinations and more delicious foods. Bangkok is like 5 times bigger than KL. MahaNakhon tower, in my opinion, is the most beautiful and modern building in Southeast Asia.

It's the skytrain stop after Salad Dang (which is Silom) it's very easy to get to without getting stuck in Bangkok's horrific traffic.

It's built on a cemetery. The land acquisition is questionable. Also, while they were still building the foundation an elephant being used to haul fell into a hole and was crying/ screaming. I'll never be able to get that outta my head. I consider this bldg cursed though it's my favorite piece of architecture in the world.
