First let me echo what everyone else says about this video: thanks so much! It was well done and extremely informative. Second please don't ever take it down! What a great reference.
Thanks for making this video. I finally took the backhoe off my 1626 and got the 3pt set up to attach a rotary cutter. Took me a few tries to get the right angle w/ the bucket so the backhoe would roll out of the cradle, but I'm sure it will be a lot easier next time. Thanks again for posting this clear instructional video.
I put a concrete block right next to both rear wheels before I take off the backhoe. I leave them there till I go to hook up the backhoe. You have to relieve the pressure on the tractor and the backhoe to hook them back up. If your backhoe isn't braced up, it will move. Once it moves, it creates pressure and the hoses won't want to hook up. So relieve the pressure on the backhoe and it will connect right up. You may have to break open a line to relieve the pressure. If you are by yourself and you have to move the tractor back on uneven ground, use your loader bucket to push the tractor back a couple inches to where the cradle lines up.
Yes! For 6 years I've had a TYM 234 HST, love the tractor & loader bucket, but their BY200 backhoe with under tractor sub frame, ugh, so complicated & time consuming removing & installing that backhoe. Just for this SO much easier & quicker Mahindra backhoe with only 4 simple & easy attach points, I am selling my TYM with it's pain in the rear backhoe attach, and next week I am taking delivery of a new Mahindra 1626 HST with loader & backhoe. That TYM backhoe took me 1 to 2 hours to remove it, then 2 to 3 hours to put it back on all by myself. With more practice, it would have taken me less time, but I absolutely dreaded removing & installing that TYM backhoe. Not picking on TYM, as other brands with smaller tractor & sub frame backhoes are very similar, a pain to install & remove also. With my new Mahindra tractor & 1626B backhoe, I'm guessing it will take me about 15 mins to remove, and maybe 20 mins to install the backhoe. Then about an extra 5 mins. for the 3 point hitch on & off. The reason other tractor brands with smaller tractors can have a longer reach & powerful backhoe on them, is because they use the under tractor sub frames and extra attach points & links needed for strength & stability. But with a larger tractor like this Mahindra, the tractor & frame is heavier & stronger, why they can use a much more simple only 4 attach points on the rear. Other brands with this size tractor & larger, often have this much more easy & simple backhoe attach method. Looking forward to soon getting my new 1626 HST, and is a complete joy to watch this video showing how much easier & quicker this backhoe attach is! If you want to see how much more complicated & time consuming a backhoe with an under tractor sub frame is, and not picking on TYM as other brands with smaller tractors do similar complicated & time consuming backhoe attach methods, take a look at this video installing a backhoe with an under tractor sub frame... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Rv7aPx6aQX8.html
We had an old gas powered backhoe/loader in the early 80's it had to have been 20 years old already,....it took more time to remember which of the 10 handles did what than it did to R&R this set up.
Any chance you would be willing to put together a video showing the 1st service on a 1626 Hydro.. showing all filters and drain plugs.. any special instructions or tech tips.. Thanks!
He did the backhoe tractor alignment offline because you can't see s**t behind you when you're on that tractor. I own a 1626 with a 1626B. Aligning those lower hooks are way worse that matching up a ball hitch on a trailer. I'm wondering if a WiFi license plate camera would help. :-)
OK so here's a question - With the PowerBeyond having to be hooked back up for a return, is it possible to use the rear remotes once the backhoe is removed? Thanks!
The answer is when you reconnect the hoses with the backhoe removed you are completing the circuit so you have power to the 3 point hitch - There is no control valve when the backhoe is removed.
good job..my Dealer never showed me. & my 2021 1626 is a good running tractor,, but who is the idiot that put the Rear PLASTIC fender pieces on it fenders are all broke & cracked ..tractor it 6 months old & exhaust is in a bad place hoses are all burnt black ? it is NOT Very professional ..i wish i could take it BACK to Dealer. my next tractor Will be a Kubota
This video is very frustrating. For weeks Ive been hearing about "how much of a PITA removing the BH is" and I had essentially talked myself out of it.... this video - unless Im missing something- certainly doesnt make it look like a Herculean task!
Mahindra backhoe are very quick and easy to remove and reinstall we actually do another video on the MAX 26 XLT backhoe from start to finish while explaining approximately 4 minuets long. You are still able to have the backhoe installed and Mahindra will finance it separately if you desire.
All Mahindra tractors are manufactured overseas, either in India or China. The only two people that Mahindra gives a job to is the salesman and the mechanic that keeps fixing them. Buy American and give your kids or grandkids a job. Buy a John Deere that is made in Augusta, Georgia, John Deere employees thousands of Americans.
