Armada was a cheap passenger car. Used to carry pessengers in himachal for 20 rs. Not a classy image in rural India. Gen z doesn't remember this. Mostly they r miniscule buyers.
Armada was not 4.3 meters, and it was a ten seater.roxx is lot smaller, It's like naming a 1.2 liter 4 meter hatchback as Baleno,the 1.6 liter sedan😂😂😂. This is just not right
Pratap Bose reminds of that classmate who overdid a presentation on a stupid iteration of an already existing project. How hard was it to give a straight roofline? Or are they trying to differentiate it from Wrangler so that they can sell it in international markets without copyright issues?
@UnfilteredLifeVideos also inclusion of panoramic sunroof had made the roof bulkier. So painting it full black without ridges would look like bolero. Better Mr. Bose could be honest enough to mention the technical aspect instead of giving us so overwhelming design reasons.
This is the worst proportion I have ever seen. Pratap Bose is enjoying the salary as he used to actually work properly with Tata. In Mahindra he is high and designing. Why would I sir in my BMW and Thar pulls up by my side and i will jump out of my window “ Thar Aa gayi Thar aa gayi “ Quarter panel triangular glass is such a mess. Lastly all three door handles are of different mechanism with one having body colour and front and rear in Matte. I mean who does that blunder. Chapri car will remain Chapri. Mahindra focussing aggressively on RWD has created a conpetition with its own brand with Scorpio N and Xuv 700 in the same segment with 2 additional seats and better family car. I agree that the grill got better. But the notch? Pratap says seeing the notch will help you differentiate the 5 door from the 3 door. Isn't the rear doors more than enough??
Man something happened to Pratap Bose somewhere down the line. He used to make some pretty interesting designs at tata, but during his later years at Tata and now at Mahindra, his designs have become far too quirky. The 3XO for instance looks HORRENDOUS. Same story with this car, so many unnecessary design elements, almost like he has a "quirky elements" checkbox while designing.
11:23 little confusion here, diesel is known for powerful and torque, good for overtake but why diesel has 150 hp and petrol has 160hp is petrol is also powerful?
Mahindra never disappoints! They finally decide to give the e2o a practical 5-door version, but then, in a stroke of brilliance, they hide the rear door handles so well that no one can tell it's a 5-door. It’s like they’re playing a game of “guess how many doors this car has.” And of course, they pulled the same stunt with the Thar. Who needs clear design when you can keep people guessing?
When you see the C-shaped DRLs, move aside.....Why? Don't understand why Thar owners think they own the road. Thar, Creta, Scorpio, and Fortuner guys, majority of then are impatient.

I loved the design. I’m a creative director of design and work for international brands. I think the car looks beautiful from outside. Kudos to the designer. Don’t know why people are complaining.
In this new Thar Roxx design elements which are copied from Jeep are really good. But most of the people are criticizing about the Front Grill, Second Row seat doors, outdated and odd placement of door handles, c-pillar 😂 and finally the light colored interiors. All these impractical design choices are hindering the Ruggedness and the Aggression this SUV deserves. Pratap and team really overlooked the core concept of this Car.
Pratap Bose's design language doesn't go with MAHINDRA Ideology...Mahindra used to make this aggressive dynamic SUV'S and look at them now !!! Why is making them so sober !!
Pricing strategy of Mahindra has always been aggressive but i feel that a base 4wd should have been there with less features and aiming strictly to enthusiasts. Mx1 should have an optional 4wd rather than starting the (4wd) range from Mx5.
They should have just slaped same doors in the rear and make same similar rare as old thar .. very disappointed with exterior design interior is fantastic
Wheel base should have been 18 inches longer distributed eventually in all cabins.also the width by 6 inches & 21 inches wheels .it would give royal luxurios feeling & move in all terrains .
It’s a copy paste job gone bad. And Mr. Bose is harping the same garb about traffic lights. 😅 But as a standalone car. Tempting. Not because of the looks, but utility.
Doesn’t look and feel Premium.looks like people carrier.hate the alloys, hate the B n C pillar side looks.front grille spoils the front look.3 door is better.
If this guy is the person responsible for the design house, he screwed it up big time. Character, macho off roader, six pack, bold stance........all done, but that sharp square taken from Bolero (or Skoda Yeti ?) has seriously destroyed the whole vehicle. Needless to say, the second row doors are flimsy and are borrowed from Bajaj Qute Autorikshaw (or inspired by it?). The second rowdoor handle is a big deterrent too!!!
He always make busy designs and says it will grow on along with time . Why can't he make design which people love at first sight just like thar 2020 3 door design by OG Mahindra designer Ramkripa Anantham.
Reading the comments. None of you have any constructive criticism, just hating for no reason at all. And to all the Jeep lovers. How is your alto’s suspension? There’s a lot more to a car than the design of a c pillar. Educate yourself, you might fall in love with automotive industry.
The styling is totally disappointing. Nothing can justify the out of place door design and the inched up roof line. The door alone does not look like a part of this vehicle 😂.
Don’t care too much for the name but after seeing it in the metal, I love what they’ve done with the Thar Roxx. Now let’s drive it (I hear it is even better than a Scorpio - N !)
He’s trying to make it recognisable, as if there are so many card with similar design . He actually made the design worse , just to make it authentic, like the triangular shaped near the boot and door handles look really out of place .
Bolero is also available if you want proportionate design. They have done design experiment with thar 5 door to avoid people's opinions about copying Rubicon.
@@rahul4 what about bolero’s interior and features. What do you have to say about that ? What I meant in was , instead of top mounted door handle , they could have provided with the conventional ones , it would go well with the design . The front grill is also body coloured, that doesn’t suit such type of vehicles .
@@abhishekk9475 i understood ur point, and agree with door handles could be placed at right place, still you shd notice thar length and roxx length they tried to increase wheel base to mitigate main purpose of 5 door concept. Other hand in our mind we have fixed image of rubicon or Armada and we've started imagine to see actual dimensions before launch of roxx. They have already product like Scorpio and xuv 700 in this price category, somewhere they have to place between these products with aggressive price point of view they've just used many external parts of thar to reduce cost cutting and focused on giving urban features to attract customer. They can't increase wheel base more than 5mtr category. Although your front grill or other design perspective things never ends we can't help it what their design team imagination works.
It will be a success. But the name Roxx is not to my taste. End of the day whatever Pratap Bose says, it is still a copy of the Jeep Wrangler. Thinly disguised. But still a copy. Yet, being based on the Scorpio platform, it will be good. Nice boot space and all that. White interiors may not have been the best thing for a car that one will take off the tarmac.
All bullshit about side profile being showing unique character, it’s all about cost cutting and part sharing with 2door thar, being 4 doors and full fledged second row they had to increase headspace and accommodate sunroof without designing completely new car front half from B pillar is borrowed from old thar to save money
Side design is not good Partap Bose…it is not proportional…just bad asthetics bad design…rest all is so good that ur side design is bad swallow, indigestible that people will have to adjust on to as u already said it will grow, its not a first look love from side poor poor design, could have been way way better
He spoiled the vehicle Roxx, he is not a good designer, very poor finish, how Mr. Anand appointed him, the logo he designed is not nice, he is a talkie
