In a hot country like India, why the hell is this obsession with a sunroof!! Reviewers like you tout this a a great feature !!! This is the rather most unused and useless feature in any car. This not only adds cost, but is prone to higher maintenance. After spending a premium on the sunroof, most use this for standing out of the moving car... which is illegal & also accident prone.
Well we are just going by data. We have created enough awareness about its uselessness. Having said that a market like India does not get driven by awareness. It's more of a vanity feature and people are crazy for it. Not having a sunroof in a model means an immediate drop in sales. And having a large one means an advantage commensurate with its advantage in size vis a vis other products. It's a good feature as long as people don't abuse it. But in a country where licenses are doled out even to monkeys, that's a bit too much to ask for I guess. Thanks for your comments
Just wait and watch, the sales of 3X0 gonna go through the roof mainly because of the panaromic sunroof and watch other manufacturers to introduce the same in near future
Excellent point vasu...I think exactly the same...reviewers need to educate and also be critical. Every major reviewer behaves as a marketing member of auto makers...adding to unnecessary hype.
Hi @Motoroids, Is there any article or video from Motoroids comparing the SUV & Sedan? I'm confused here about whether to take the Mahindra 3XO AX5 or the Skoda Slavia Classic. Can you please help me here?
@@motoroids We are looking primarily automatic for city driving and 3 4 trips in year. Me and my wife both have to drive. Creta comes with NA engine. 3xo comes with tgdi engine.
@@PankajKumar-mv8pd@motoroids IS MADDDD. YOU asked about engine of NA and turbo comparison. BUT HE IS suggesting U about car size. Bull shit suggestion 😂😂😡😡 falthu gadu vidu..
Sir is it worth to go for XUV 3XO diesel base varient for the milage sake as in petrol varient it doesn't provide good milage. Bec base varient of petrol and diesel engine are having 2.5 lakhs difference and including registration it ll be almost 3 lakhs difference. Can you please suggest me? My yearly running is around 12k and i m from Karnataka state.
Be aware of the future of Diesels, no one knows what happens in next 4-5 years for Diesel Cars. One more thing is DPF issues. Take both issues with a pinch of salt before purchase decision
Dear @Motoroids , great video 👍 I'm confused b/w Honda City VX CVT and Mahindra 3XO AT AX5L. As i liked the City's butter smooth CVT exp very much but dont like the lower ground clearance. At the same time 3XOs safety n Compact SUV segment also grab my likes. Could you pls suggest, which is the best option (70% drive would in City traffic). Thanks much in advance.
Very good video sir, Can you tell me the mileage of this car with MPFI manual transmission. Thank you in advance. Please reply it will help me to make a decision
Hi I am looking for a petrol automatic in compact suv segment. I have to drive the vehicle 100 kms 3 days a week(25 mins of highway and 35 mins of city drive) Under my budget,I have shortlisted - Tata Nexon(mid version) Kia Sonet(mid version) Maruti Suzuki Fronx(top version) Hyndai Venue(Top version) Mahindra 3xo( Ax5L) Looks wise, I like all of them Currently my i20 manual is giving 15-17 average. Can I expect the same in xuv3xo (AX5L) Which one I should I go with?
Depends on what your priorities are. Purely for mileage, Fronx. Forget the Nexon. Venue is a balanced choice and 3XO for space, comfort and performance
A good review from motoroids again. On paper, Xuv 3xo ticks all the box with very impressive engine. But with this design, i don't think it would be a big seller. It lacks the looks of typical compact SUV, even the coupe one like nexon. Venue, brezza, sonet elevate.....buyers will feel they are compareable and are on the same segment. But Xuv 3xo is still an odd choice. It has it's own unique DNA, it will be bought by those who like the design, but not the mass. I feel Mahindra offers one of the best car but not a seller.
Thanks 🙏. Well it offers good features and value for every variant. It's an interesting product and will unravel the tastes and distastes of the Indian consumer.
I dont understand this design conversation at all. Especially with suvs. Seems really pointless to me. If the car is tough, you dont need looks to confirm that. Never got the "it needs to look rough, tough, bigger, wider and taller" thing, because it needs to do that as opposed to what? Looking weak, incapable, smaller, thinner and shorter? Few cars look that and even those cars are more capable than people like giving credit for.
So nice that someone finally did the acceleration test. I am a bit disappointed though. With all that extra torque and hp, it is still only 0.8 seconds faster to 100 than the Nexon in sport mode. ADAS in this car seems to be dodgy according to many reviewers. I hope Mahindra fixes the adas issues since that is their main selling point right now. Also hoping that they introduce ventilated seats even if they don't bring paddle shifters. Ventilated seats > Skyroof for Indian conditions imo.
Ventilated seats are available on the platform, as we saw on the XUV 400 - they'll bring it and a few other missing features as a quick update to keep the buzz alive IMHO
By quick update, do you mean it will only be added to the next batch of cars or everyone from the 1st product…I am not sure how this update thing works😅
@@motoroids Yes, I too was thinking the same. This is typical Mahindra behavior. Just see how long they take to activate Android auto and apple car play.
Hello Sir. Amazimg in depth review covered all the aspects. However could you throw some light on how ADAS is working on the car... How was your experience with it???
Should I spend an extra 2 lakh for mid variant of Taigun/Kushaq over AX5 L Automatic? Also, how bad will I feel the initial throttle in Bangalore traffic?
Tesla may not be around in 2 years given the scale of their internal issues at the moment. Even if they are, Hybrids and Hydrogen fuel cell tech is the future rather than pure EV. I suggest you keep that bike, wait and watch how it unfolds before jumping on the EV train.
@@gsrox2007 hydrogen produced by solar is also less efficient than EV. It cannot be scaled as easily as BEVs and, more dangerous than batteries. Makes no sense to go with hydro at all. Not even for bug trucks and bus.
I am looking out to buy a car around 15L where I am quite fond of black/ dark edition cars.. Nexon Fearless + DCA was an attractive choice until this option came I want all bells and whistles and want to keep my car for long run.. I want a good automatic as I live in Pune. Considering AXL the price is little higher side. When I am thinking about 3XO major missing here is ventilated seats and paddle shifters these two are hell of convenience. When thinking about nexon I feel its complete and have everything. However that bigger car feel and ridge which 3Xo will bring is a factor worth considering. Please advise I am looking out for petrol and have not done test drives yet and I completely in love with nexon dark edition looks damn however 3xo in black is in not sure state. Please help is there any other car on the C-segment which would have match 3XO prices ? Seltos htx cvt? Seems engine is too slow creta.s(o) same case right?
The 3XO has great power and the AISIN automatic is good too. The only downside is the low FE . If that's ok with you, and monthly mileage is low then go with the 3XO. Nexon's engine is unrefined and the product's reliability is suspect.
@@motoroids I can manage with lower fuel economy to some extent wish it must not be too drastically down like 5-6 in bumper to bumper traffic. If in double digits I can manage. As in highway if we use a little of cruise control we can extract good fuel economy from turbo petrol engines like this. Missing out on Peddle shifter which can’t be even retrofitted from the showroom is a biggest disadvantage I see with AX 7L as someone can tolerate no Ventilation in seat by increasing fan speed and bringing temperature lower. Also mandatory DT options at the highest spec variants with no choice of single tone what’s your opinion on it. Also about this AT gearbox I have driven sonet dct and man I fall in love with the peppiness it offers even without the sport mode, with sports mode it is quite good in the lower end too, please advise how this AT behaves as many reviewer said it show power in the mids only, how much it stands upto korean DCT as you might have definitely driven that too?
The mileage will not drop that low. 9-10 in the city is easily manageable. Koreans' DCT is quicker than this, but this one is no slouch either. Works really well!
@@motoroids Contacted showroom over here in Pune, they just have MX3 Pro variant. I feel after driving both vehicles I may understand what could suit me.
