It seems that the Mahindra team actually got a Tata Safari top model and designed the XUV 700 comparing every feature and tried to outdo the Safari. Tata now needs to update their Safari to keep up the competition.

Tata has assets like Landrover & Jaguar, the infotainment systems on those brands is top class and fluidic which is why I wonder why Tata puts out such shitty infotainment systems in their cars.
Mahindra has a team in Formula E, why can't they gather that knowledge to launch a viable EV. Their EV offerings are shitty. Tata with no prior experience did a better job.

XUV 700 ia completely designed in India, next scorpio also is fully designed in India, before the management changed and all designers left Mahindra, Pinnafarana has zero role, the new managment from Tata which joined has zero contribution in XUV and upcoming Scorpio

Tech & engine is amazing in 700, but i didn't like its design. Xuv500 was more muscular & suvish. 700 looks like jacked muv. Whereas safari(harrier+) is just a crossover suv...nothing to talk about. Tata should bring back hexa, the ride quality & suspension it had💖 It was the only legit AWD muv in india which can do some offroading.

Xuv 700 is much better than safari in every words. Safari is just a bigger version of harrier. Tata really dissappoint every safari lover by launching harrier version 2.0. Actually safari needs a new name HARR-FARI.
So in deep terms we can say by structure Mahindra vs Tata, by engine we say Mahindra vs Fiat or Jeep and with transmission we can say Hyundai vs Aisin.

I vouch for acko, I met with T bone by Innova this year around 3 months back. in 2 days entire car is back to normal from Hyundai plus Acko support was excellent! seamless
10:29 , wrong. Mahindra doesn’t make that gearbox. Its sourced from Aisin. All the Volvo use Aisin Torque converter, its also used in Diesel variant of the X1
Handling is better in XUV. It has a sharp and agile steering while Safari has a less expensive hydraulic setup which is heavy all the times (which is a good- confidence aspiring thing during high speeds). Its just that hairyness because of the light steering and softer suspension setup in 7OO. Also, cornering abilities is better in XUV, body roll better contained than competition and less understeer.
On point and the fsd works stiff on highways does no feel very hairy idk why Faisal just can’t get over that xuv is better in highways too🤭 at least in straight lines
True. Sunroof in india is absolutely useless due to weather conditions. Im from JK and here winters are harsh so here it is very useful. But in hot conditions I don’t believe it’s that useful
I think xuv700 looks more like a big crossover and not really a big suv but I kinda like this part and to be fare this is made for city drive . And Faisal on the note of your post 3 days ago I think best idea will be you do normal car videos in fasbeam and do this funky cars and daily vlogs in Faisal khan channel bcs otherwise it becomes a bit of a hassle for you bcs you have to edit two different videos just like mat Watson does

XUV7OO 5 seater is even better than AUDI Q5, AUDI doesn’t get 360°parking and a screen like XUV, only advantage AUDI has is a powered tailgate 😂. Same engines for both .
When you are using the Adaptive cruise control and the car quickly drops the speed due to the vehicle ahead, do the brake lights come on? You are not touching the brake pedal but it is the computer which is deciding and providing inputs. Same question about what happens during emergancy braking. This is important from the perspective of the vehicles behind you.
Fun fact:- Tata harrier and Safari are not yet crash tested. The reason is that if they test it it will not even score 4 stars forget five stars. The reason is that the engines in both of the cars are sourced from Fiat and a particular part in the driver side of the engine is pointing such that in case of an accident, it will penetrate directly in the cabin and hurt the passenger and can cause even death.

If only fwds are to be considered, I would definitely pick Tata Safari. Better suspension, better comfort and better mileage. Xuv700 has more power, torque and hence a touch better performance. But it means zilch to me in day 2 day life.
Can you tell me which car is good. I'm confused between Safari Adventure Persona XZA+ and XUV 700 AX7L Diesel Automatic AWD. Both cars cost almost the same in my city.
In terms of tech and sound system, Camera XUV 700 best and in terms of Comfort in 3 row seat Tata is best.....This is the only Advantage Difference of both.....
XUV 7OO has got better interior quality, more comfortable seats, best in class music system, better engine performance + torque, way more features, way better Shoulder Room in all 3 rows, Custom Drive Modes, Proven Safety, way better low speed or city ride quality, better Brand Value, better headlight spread and throw, better braking and a LOT LOT MORE. Thanks everyone for your advice. I will book XUV 700 and observe the situation of semiconductor shortage. If they will able to provide me delivery before September 2022. I am happy but after September I will move on to Safari or Scorpio. And there is some news that harrier and Safari are getting facelift in 2022.

Mahindra should revive the Alturas with a Next Gen, by plonking in all they have in their arsenal and to justify that price segment with all the features, just like they did with XUV and tune the 2.2L mHawk to produce 220PS and 550Nms.
@faisalkhan : if we are comparing 27-29 lakh version of cars should one include Jeep longitude or limit edition ? Also , while recent driving test for safari and Mahindra , I felt lot of body roll in xuv700 while safari suspension worked great on bumpy roads with better steering feedback. Handling wise XUV 700 works great but on a bad road conditions will it be right to say safari is way ahead ? Any feedback on this area ?

We have always seen the features of Hyundai and Mahindra. Hyundai features are evergreen and well maintained by the company but when it comes to Mahindra no doubt features are nice but just in 2 to 3 years it will start showing problems and Mahindra service center will not be able to repair it they will change the product and will cost high.
But actually this was car under Mahindra and ford joint venture so we should also thankful to ford engineer I personally believe if ford engineers worked on this product than definitely suspension setup because we seen xuv 500 suspension setup 😊
