Man it's crazy though. brady had insane late game drives for field goals where you could at least go "well shit, kids got ice water." mahomes....had the guy who was breaking their offense tear his achillis walking onto the field...? Like knowing the 2 long drives they had were both because they picked on the replacement of a guy who tore his achillias walking onto the field, it just feels bleh. Brady made you feel like it was hopeless, Mahomes is just kinda like some freak thing will happen and he'll get in and win. And I'm not a chiefs hater, I'm a pats fan, mostly a brady ball gargler. @jvwilliams mahomes isn't the most skilled. He's the eight amounts of the right things. He's not the most accurate, the strongest arm, best in the pocket, best on the run, best pre snap, most accurate. He's just the best avg over all on all these things. But the reason mahomes is deadly is because he has a deep tool bag, and he learned the leason only 1 other qb I've ever seen (brady) learned. Check downs win rings. He has no issue running the ball and checking it down, every HoF modern Era qb will tell you that is the hardest thing to do as a qb. It's why qbs are so high on Purdy. It isn't sexy to check it down 5 plays in a row, but no negative yards is more impact full that an extra 100 yards a game, and an additional 1-2 turnovers.
