Today on FGFRC I am featuring the maiden of the X-Fly 70mm Twin EDF Business Jet .
She has a 68 inch wingspan with removable wing letts than help with transport. The wings are also easily removable with just a total on 6 screws. The Twin 70mm fans generate more than enough thrust to send this beauty into the clear blue without hesitation.
As I found on the maiden, she is a floater but you need at least 1/4 throttle on landing to prevent a landing tipstall.

Yes - great gear and light package - and look at the experience you gained for your next flight. Looks like she does better with takeoff flaps going up.Just like a real plane, landing flaps will take your power away. Great Job!

Lovely maiden flight Greg!! I'm very impressed with these Xfly models they are beautifully put together, I felt your nerves but you controlled them very well 😀👍

Yes Greg you're right when you say she looks beautiful in flight and I thought you flew it great. Nice short stop landings LOL and no harm done .

Nice ! Your in business now ! Landings were a little rocky , but that’s how it goes on the maidens , that’s why they are so nerve wrecking.. she’s back in one piece that’s what matters 👍🏻👍🏻

Control decent with throttle. Control airspeed with pitch. Take it up high and see how it behaves in high alpha to get an idea of how much throttle you need at a given angle of attack to prevent stall and arrest your decent. If you drop a wing, use opposite RUDDER, NOT AILERON to pick it back up :-) Cheers.

Thanks for the tips and yeah immediate opposite aileron is a bad habit I have in that situation. People neglect the effectiveness of rudder. Watch my second flight, its MUCH better.

Your last landing wasn't a tip stall , you were coming in and you were trying to line up with the runway at last moment using your ailerons instead of using the rudder that is why you ground looped your edf. Otherwise it would've been an excellent landing.

Thanks for the advice. I want to nail these landings. It's to nice a bird to mess up.
