it looks like one of the hardest instruments to play, so many possibilities unlike a normal piano or guitar that have an easy to understand layout

The accordion has quite a range for a hand held musical instrument. (Reed instruments date from ancient times while the accordion is 19th century innovation.)

The accordian is an odd instrument and certainly not mainstream, but you have to appreciate the sounds they can produce.

Haminmypocket - The accordion is not mainstream in the US or western Europe, sure, to them the most well known accordionist is probably Weird Al, which is really unfortunate. In the rest of the world though, the accordion is a very respected instrument (Latin America, Eastern Europe, parts of Asia, parts of Africa, the Middle East etc.)

@LaexProductions well, i wouldn't know how you would ever play drumming parts on an accordian to begin with, but as for bass and metal, don't be so sure. for all you know he may have not mentioned it because the main populace wouldn't recognize it. when the camera's off, he might be blasting out some lamb of god. i've been surprised by people like him before, and i don't ever discount anything anymore after people i've witnessed and their quirks...

Aye, I corrected myself in my newer comment, where I said "Ah, was it Judaism?" I corrected myself after I realized that Judaism came first, and I still think that Judaism and Christianity are extremely similar, as opposed to cultural differences. Anyway, I learned that religious history about a year ago so it's bound to be rusty. I just remembered Jesus the Prophet spreading the word of God, which would've been Judaism.

Its the greatest instrument ever. I’ve had a few guitars lying around my house my whole life (thanks to my father) but I’ve never had even the tiniest bit of interest in playing them, but the accordion has always called my name for some reason.
