On Thursday, March 14, the Maine Climate Council held its next quarterly meeting, featuring a presentation from the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee about its updated assessment of climate change and its effects on Maine.
Members of the STS include leading researchers and scientists from across Maine, who contribute their experience and expertise to the Council to inform its work to prepare the state's climate action plan. For 2024, the STS's assessment will include comprehensive updates on scientific indicators and impacts due to climate change, as well as an exploration of impacts on Maine's people, communities, and economy.
