I’m so sick and tired of legitimate criticism being labeled as racist, mysoginistic, bigoted, homophobic, trasnphobic etc. They hire the worst writers and filmmakers who aren’t up to the task, yet blame white men for their failure. You can’t tell people that something isn’t made for them, then expect the group that was told it wasn’t for to come to the rescue.

I am black and I'm offended by him telling me what I'm offended by. Get off my cloud. This is top to bottom garbage, so is his writting. I know of nobody who likes this or most of Disney/Lucasfilms crap. I know a lot of black people being one. And I tell you this. We loved Star Wars the way it was, we don't count this Disney crap as Star Wars. John almost got it back on an even keil. Firing Gina was the death. You also don’t get critics reviews that high without access media feeding outlets, RU-vidrs and influencers with special access, premiers, early screeners, interviews and etc. the score is inflated because those media outlets kind of need those goodies to keep creating content. It’s not just a Disney problem, other studios do it. Here though, you can see that whole system fail when those media outlets talk favorably on a show that is objectively bad

@@DareBear2099 Not only that but any critic that gave the series anything but a glowing review those negative or critical reviews were held over for a few days. So the show is 94 or 96% Fresh, but after episode 3 and more negative reviews have to be released the critic score drops to 84%. So even critics are going yeah it's rough.

History, I was 17 yrs old when the 1st Star War ( New Hope ) and that was in 1977 or during the 70's, which most films had vulgarity, sex scenes and off the top violence. What made New Hope great besides the special effects, was the 1940s type direction or nostalgia that the movie had which in my humble opinion made it great. I explain this to my children years ago..

I saw the poll by Grace Randolph on another video. I can’t remember it exactly, but the gist is, there were 4 options and the question was “What are you most looking forward to next about Star Wars?” and the option that won with 51% of the total was “nothing”!! Which was pretty embarrassing because she’s being shilling hard for it! And it was her own fans!

So this guy thinks the audience review scores are exaggerated? Where is his article about the exaggerated positive critic scores over The Acolyte? 84%, really? Where are his articles about aggressively mediocre Disney/Marvel films getting 90% critic scores? Shouldn't critics be more discerning as it is their job? Shouldn't he be more concerned over artificial scores given by his peers in his own profession? However, he has no problem with the inflated scores based on access and political pandering, just when the audience doesn't go along with it.

Young people liked star wars the way it was. There was nothing wrong with it lmao it was always family friendly entertainment. The good thing about star wars was that done the way it was it managed to bridge the gap between older audiences and younger ones. It always managed to do that. I got born way after star wars 4-6 but I already liked it before ep1-3. This isn't dune or something like that, never was. They didn't had to change anything to have the maximum eyes on it. Changing it always meant less eyes on it. The 'we are doing it for the children' is just a lame excuse.

It seems like if you continually get the same results, with a multitude of offerings, that is the fans of the shows/ movies are not happy with the products your putting out there, the problem isnt with the fans, but rather the fault of those making the product. It'd be like Coke deciding to make all their drinks taste like urine, only offer that flavor, then be surprised that people who formerly liked coke, suddenly find it distasteful.

That's funny because the executives of Coke in the past realized the messed up with the replacement of the original formula with "New" Coke and walked it back. It took awhile but they had the sense to do it. But according to some former insiders this "content" is going to get even worse. Fact is, I’ve seen a metric ton of negative reviews for The Acolyte and, to the best of my recollection, nobody even mentioned the race of the characters. It’s almost like that’s a complete lie.
