According to section 20, the answer is NO but in the case Pannalal vs. Fulmani AIR,1987 cat 768- step son is liable to maintain his step mother as a dependent. In this video also, it’s mentioned. Please go through the decision once, as I’m also a LLB student, first sem. Thanks and regards

S 24 is against the natural Justice and fair trial...one is are asking the opposite party to pay for his/ her legal fight against the same person...this does not happen anywhere else I think...also we don't have the concept of prenup in India...which is needed as time changes...marriage is no longer a sacred ceremony...

Thanks for this Info Sir, How often in a month do we get a hearning for cases like these? If the guy is working, will it not be a problem for his career to be attending many cases like 498, dv case,125 and divorce case? He might have to spend atleast 3 days of a month in court if he is facing many cases..which shall hamper his work life.. .please make a video on this ...
