Questions -The hair was removed in attempt to combat the Typhus in the camp - I have the testimony of two ladies that said they entered the camp when about 3 years of age then left the camp in July 1944 at the ages of 5 and 6. - The Majdanek museum says Carbon Monoxide. You are correct in a way, the two tanks you saw in the small room are stamped CO2 . They used CO2 until they could cremate the bodies to preserve them since at the time there were only two cremation ovens (See room behind ovens to see one of them 10:07) . the coke fueled Kori ovens did not go on line until January 1944. - Which rooms was the Zyklon B used to kill inmates? tell me if you really know. -No one was injected with anything to kill them. -Where do you get this story of people sent to B19 to starve to death, That is a crock of you know what Those gas chambers you refer to served two functions, 1. Temporary morgue. 2. Rooms for delousing clothes . Not gas chambers for humans. I have studied this camp for about 2 years, and I can say you made up a lot of fNS

All stories/facts came from the site and given all the other shit that happened to Poland during the Nazi’s and the Commies reign of terror I’m inclined to believe what I read…I’m curious what your political leanings are to have the opinions you have…
@dpjbdpjb
@dpjbdpjb Год назад
@@britinpoland2392 no political leanings at all. What I do is compare the narratives to evidence shown. I make my arguments from a technical perspective, not hate. Example: You saw in two rooms a blue staining on the walls and ceiling, what was the cause of that blue staining. Those pipes protruding out the back of the coke fueled cremation ovens, what were they for? Did you ever ask why are they there? Technology claims is how I base my arguments. If I had the will I could have wrote much more in regards to your video on Majdanek

@@dpjbdpjb I’m not an expert, more of a tourist with some education and experience of the country behind me, I have been exposed to story after story while living in Poland, not just from museums and guides but from peoples families, and I’m of the opinion that no collective conditioning could create such a falsehood as some people claim

@@dpjbdpjb given I have a degree in history I agree…however the genocide during World War II seems pretty one sided to me…and I would argue most of the world

I just visited Auschwitz and it was easily the most haunting experience of my life and I’ve seen combat. I definitely want to visit this particular site next time I am in Poland. I feel that the lack of crowds make for better time to reflect.

I’ve been to a few camps now and each one has a different feeling to it, Auschwitz was shocking, probably because it was my first such place, Majdanek felt more haunting as I walked around alone and the place had an unnatural silence to it…

There are a lot of camps to be found that I had not heard of before moving here, Treblinka for example, I’m trying to document every place I visit in Poland, sharing the bad and the good, I think it’s important to share the real history here

I just read a book called 'I survived to tell' and he went to several camps but spent the majority in this one. I've read a lot of autobiographies by holocaust survivors but this was the most horrific one I've ever read. The guards at this camp would literally torture the slave laborers night and day. They wouldn't allow them to sleep more than a few hours before they would come back for them to torment them some more. Anyone that survived this hell was a walking miracle.

Thank you for the extra information, indeed it was horrific visiting this camp and reading about the stories of the prisoners, there was such a dark energy to this place while I was walking around, like stepping into another world 😕

i might be wrong but, ive heard there are ditches dug by prisoners behind the mausoleum where thousands of people were executed and buried, horrible.

Change the title of this video if you don't want to be sued by the Polish state - for such clumsy wording, you may face up to 3 years in prison (regardless of what is the content of the film). Majdanek is not an "eastern Poland's Auschwitz". Eastern Poland did not build any of its own "Auschwitzs". It is a German concentration camp from the period of World War II. By the way: many Poles were imprisoned in this camp. My grandmother was locked up there as the wife of a member of the Polish resistance movement. She experienced a horror there. Fortunately, my grandfather managed to buy her out after a few months (SS men operating at Majdanek were very susceptible to corruption).

My apologies, in the title was intending to convey the location and not ownership of the camp, but now I can see how this can be misconstrued, have updated the title. I’m sorry your grandmother had to experience the horror of this place, though very happy that she was able to get free from there!

From time to time I think to myself that the mythical Nazis must've been aliens or dinosaurs or sth like that. The truth is prosaic,they were Germans.It was our" friends" Germans who made that happen. I find this term offensive here in Poland as so many Poles were slaughetered in those German factories of death.
