If anyone who doesn't remember from Z, Goku said that when a soul dies again, they won't exist anymore and the only way to bring them back completely is with the Super Dragon balls. That's why everyone in otherworld were so terrified of kid buu and it was a time they didn't know the super dragon balls existed so their entire existence was on the line
On the real, Kid Buu was Goku’s craziest villains. That dude had zero humanity and gave zero f*cks BRUH I TOTALLY FORGOT HE WENT TO HEAVEN TO RUN FADES💀💀💀
@@EternalStorm796 It is never really said how he knows. I have always believed that King Cold heard the legends about Buu and how dangerous he was. Buu until he was awakened was asleep for a long time.
The funniest thing about the final fight: Vegeta had like 4 rounds with Buu. He didn't want to fight Buu anymore after round 1. And things got progressively worse for him too. From being nothing more than a punching bag for distraction. To being a punching bag until Goku stops being tired. To being revived and becoming a squishier punching bag.
One of the most epic Vegeta scenes came outta that ass whooping though lol. When buu thought he was dead and he got back up that was the only time kid buu looked scared 😂
I know your comment is old, but I gotta say same! and I loved when they did those quick flashes with crazy stuff like that. like when Goku faces him again there at ssj3 and the episode is ending they do 1 of those quick punches/stop forna sec sequences and he and Buu bite each other in the head😂😂😂 it's "👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾 Goku bites buu head 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾 Buu bites Goku head" kills me every time, cause it's like obviously their fights are "all out" every time, but they literally are pulling all the stops out in that fight. no such thing as rules, honor, no low blows.
Oh yea. As a kid, it blew my mind finding out Kid Buu went to Heaven just to kill people he already killed 😂😂 and the sad part was that if they died again. They wouldn’t exist anymore, and there would’ve been nothing they could do, not even the dragon balls and I’m like “Bro… It’s gonna take some serious plot to get rid of him” lmao
An honorary mention: King Cold told Frieza to not deal with Majin Buu. Even the two biggest egos in the entire universe drew the line at Buu. Sorbet: ayo frieza I'm tellin ya goku's gotten stronger since you fought him Frieza: space has stars tell me something less obvious. i'll just train then easy money. Sorbet: but frieza... he beat majin buu... Frieza: ayo wait a second. my dad told me there's 2 niggas in the universe i shouldn't fuck with. beerus and majin buu. and you're telling me goku ran buu's fade? sorbet: i hate to say it, but yeah frieza: well damn. guess i gotta take this extra seriously then.
The reason Hercule survived and wasn't fucking annihilated by Kid Buu is that Majin Buu still had influence on him even though they were separated so he still saw Hercule in some very vague sense of the word as a friend. So he just knocked him down to the ground with a light tap instead of beating his ass senseless and sending him to otherworld. Kid Buu is a force of absolute destruction but that bond Majin Buu made with Hercule was so fucking strong that it even influenced the force of destruction himself.
Man, All the various versions of Buu were a menace. This man is the embodiment of devil with pure evil. He didn’t give a damn about anyone in DBZ and that why he’s one of the best villain in the franchise. I love the Buu saga. Yes it was long and all worth the watch.
To be fair to Supreme Kai, as CJ put it in the actual video, he didn't become Supreme Kai cause he was actually strong or capable for the role But because Buu literally mercd everyone else who was even remotely qualified for the position So , yeah, he felt underwhelming but at least for a good reason that made sense
More specifically, Buu mercd the other Supreme Kais before they could even begin training Shin. It's like if someone killed Piccolo before he could start training Gohan in the Saiyan arc. Or killed all the Z-Fighters before they could train Gohan in the future. Shin basically had to try and figure shit out on his own. Like Future Gohan had to. Shin was a new Supreme Kai, he just needed guidance and training, and never got it.
The thing with Shin is that on a power level scale he was no bitch at this point in time. He could have easily defeated Frieza at the time and probably thrown hands with second form cell. He was just literally used terribly and is looked at as a shitty god because of it. Sure he didn't know anything because he lost his teacher and comrades but he got hella strong. He just happened to be the weakest of the Kai's in universe 7 because of the reasons RGA stated. The way he was introduced was also really poorly done because it made his character out to be something that he wasn't, a badass. You meet him in his introduction and he has an aura of "oh yea bitch I'm a mothafuckin god. I'm hella powerful" but then he just gets his ass beat and his personality comes out to be a frightened little kid. Which the whole PTSD aspect of Buu definitely was real. He just needed to be introduced in the series sooner. Maybe have him show up hanging out with King Kai or something that let us see more of him. Or have Piccolo after he fuses with Kami mention him at some point in time about the hierarchy of gods with a silhouette showing Shin. Beerus and GoD's would of course be added later on since they weren't an idea at the time but Shin was just handled so fucking terribly by the writers.
And he was still plenty strong, like legit aside from the Saiyans and Buu, and perhaps Piccolo at that time, he was the strongest character we'd seen up to that point.
You know what I just realized? The people Buu transforms don't die. They stay in that state until the matter is destroyed as shown with Vegito. This means, the people he turned into play-doh for his house.... were stuck like that for the entirety of the series until the Original Majin Buu blew up Earth. Imagine how horrible of a nightmare that must have been for them?
The funny part is buu warned vegeta and goku like he basically said you can take everybody but that pink nigga gotta stay and they didn’t listen lowkey on goku and vegeta 😂😂
I remember in middle school friends were talking about DBZ so I asked for a VHS tape and it was the beginning of the Android Saga and I was hooked. I would be rushing home every day from school to turn on Toonami by 4 to watch DBZ.
Buu saga made me quit DBZ. I watched the broly movie. But I read most of the rest. I can read the whole arc in 30 minutes with no delays. They really tested the fans patience. 22min episode with commercials and 18 minutes are yelling to power up
If I remember correctly if Kid Buu actually proceeded with his key blast to heaven everybody would’ve been erased permanentlyI think that’s what it was if you die in other world you die permanently i’m pretty sure existence erased
It wasn't as plot armor-ish as CJ made it sound like. Supreme Kai made a wish to the dragon to have Goku's strength restored during the spirit bomb clash, so that allowed Goku to overpower Buu with the spirit bomb. The spirit bomb itself is useful against evil beings, especially demons in the case of Buu, Goku was just in a weakened state at the time so he was struggling to make headway with Buu while using it
Plus it's confirmed Kid Buu had God Ki even back then from South Supreme Kai and Grand Supreme Kai so Buu arguably already had the ability, but didn't even know it until he saw Kibito Kai used it
I’m glad y’all are covering this too. Buu is definitely the head honcho of BAF energy. Man’s did some absolutely heinous shizz that to this day I still can’t fathom. Glad y’all reacting to it 😎
@@Kickinthescience come back here when you have proof of Yujiro fading planets, turning ppl into candy, teleporting to other planets or squaring up with ppl who are already dead. Until then, Buu all the way.
Dbz had us questioning a lot of things as kids 😭🤣 I remember having arguments with weebs about how OP Goku was, one kid said “ Goku can only destroy a continent” I said nah he can destroy a whole planet
@@tenzinsherpa776 wtf buu can't take out bleach character at onces there hax and IQ is so High that u can't defeat all of them at once unless u have zeno erase
@@chillingsk Bruh Buu can just absorb these guys and gain access to their abilities and intelligence I'm not saying he can absorb Aizen with ease, but if Buu had a way he could, hell dude could learn Kido just by seeing it once
to be honest though, supreme kai kinda did better than gohan in the first first fight. Gohan got 1 shotted while the kai was trying his best to fight buu back by himself. He even saved gohan from death in the end.
Supreme Kai is actually REALLY STRONG despite him being a short-sighted nimrod. Some vids scale him around Perfect Cell level. Its a pretty good showing too he could take like 4=5 hits from buu, not only be alive but conscious AND have enough energy to live on for maybe 20-30 minutes afterwards until Kibito can heal him.
I know the Buu Saga gets alot of Flack but it's the Saga that I've loved the most out of all of them. Majin Vegeta vs Goku, the Final Explosion and the designs/transformations of Super Buu and Kid Buu were moments I'll never be tired of experiencing.
28:20-28:30 BIG FAX! Every Saturday for us on Toonami! The episodes were far too short, and I would yell at the TV not to end off the episode yet. Lmao Everything is streamed in its entirety nowadays. Today's youngins would *NEVER* understand the pain we've endured in the early 2000s. 😣😭😤😔
Man, poor Piccolo, he assumed what he said would make Buu leave for a while to go kill people they could wish back later. No one could have foreseen that 'Human Extinction Attack' 😅
Also, most people don't know this about DBZ, or maybe its been so long people have read about it. But at the end of the Cell saga, Goku was supposed to stay dead, basically become a supporting char through guidance and such from otherworld for Gohan. Gohan was supposed to carry on the story and he had the perfect base, it was literally hinted and foreshadowed from the the fight with Radditz all the way through to end of Cell saga. The movie with Bojack was another example of this, displaying Gohans display of raw power when pushed. The majority of the community hated it because everyone loved goku and the writer (Toriyama) held his ground but it was very apparent through dropping sales and such that it wouldn't work out if he wanted to continue his creation. So he eventually caved and wrote Goku back into the script through the Buu saga, but he vowed to forever troll Gohan. Basically saying, you wanted this you got it. Sucks for all of us who were super hyped for Gohan, he was a menace in the Cell saga, that is still the #1 Kamehameha wave in the entire series.
14:41 bro I feel this dude as I watched DBZ as a kid, First form Cell absorbing folks and then absorbing the androids had me scarred for a long time, shoot it continues to this day
Cant forget how bad they did my man Buu. It took 3 whole ass wishes to beat Buu. One to wish back earth, one to wish back all the people killed in the conflict, and one to wish Goku back to full power. The Z warriors didn’t kill Buu. The plot did.
Buu saga is one of my favorite DBZ sagas. From Vegeta's speech, to kid's buu appearance... I love it all. I would love to see kid buu vs the current Vegeta now though
If you had to summon Majin Buu on the field like in Yu Gi Oh, you would need a Ditto card, a Kirby card and a Black Chaos Ritual magic card( in this case, Black Air Force Energy magic card) and you’ll get Majin Buu.
Supreme Kai was one of the reasons he escaped, allowing the henchmen to steal power from fighters instead of letting Gohan get the lamp from them while they had the chance..
One of the things I really like about dbz is how fat buu fights. He uses his weight to his advantage against his clearly smaller opponents like a wrestler in the wwe.
Buu wad so utterly insane and bored for action he just kills people again in the afterlife for the shits and giggles. Its a one time thing as far as i know in dragonball and it was both hilarious and terrifying.
