That was my favorite P136 review (I watched them all to help decide on buying this pen), thank you for making it. The lore and knowledge around the accessories for P136 would be incomplete & very confusing, without your relaxing show-and-tell.
I like that classic look and the color choices on offer. Having extra nib units that can easily be swapped in is great. Thanks for another thorough review.
My black P136 posts quite nicely. It took a little effort at first but now it is a non-issue for this obligate poster. Aside - it is now running a bock nib and is one of my favorite pens. Thank you for the review.
Looks like a slimmer version of my Bordeaux colored Platinum President, nice. I suppose then that it looks like a slim MB 146. The nib on my new 149 unscrews without a wrench which is nice.
Great review, very detailed! I love your choice of ink, too. :) Keep it up! That piston assembly, nib unit, even the feed underneath the nib and the taper of the finials at either end of the pen all scream Montblanc 146 to me. I'm quite surprised by how close the assembly is, but as far as I can tell these are still of great quality for a considerable amount less than any 146. I've worked on quite a lot of Montblancs in my time, so I'm excited to tinker with my P136 when it arrives.
Great video. I've just ordered one of these myself... can't wait to try it out now. I'm going to have to go back and see if I can add one some of those nib units for JoWo nibs.
Hi Chris, have ordered this in black with medium nib along with wrench.. i think you like this one more than wing sung 630 so have to try this one. Moreover its slim so may feel better in my hands..
Wow, another majohn / moonman piston filler! Great review and pen!! Loads of little avenues of complex parts and stuff to explore on this pen. As always very informative reviews.
I'm thinking that "feel the temperature of writing" probably means "feel the excitement/passion of writing" (which makes more sense). The Chinese word for temperature/heat can sometimes mean excitement.
Loved your review. I love their stub nib especially at the price they are selling it. Do you think I can use it as a replacement for a Jowo or bock nib. Will it fit in the jowo or bock nib units?
Very comprehensive review. Thinking to get one of these, and debating on whether F or EF. Can you say how the Chinese nib sizes compare to Japanese, or European?
I'm torn between this one and the PenBBS 456. I've seen your reviews of both. I think the filling system on the 456 appeals to me more, as an old Sheaffer.
Had to come back to this video bc I noticed Etsy has the P136 available with the 1.1mm option. Not sold on the 1.1 yet, the medium looks very nice though
Thanks for the review, Chris. I have just received my order and have not inked it yet. As I have a Wing Sung 629, I am curious if this pen will work as well as the 629. Have you considered comparing the two?
@@paulmchugh1430 Similar pens, different shapes, 929 slightly thicker. Both well made, feel good. P136 a little heavier, 5gm. Clips almost identical. Main difference is P136 has mor nib options. I enjoy both.
No, the T1 uses a wrench, the Wingsung & Caliarts ones works. Did you watch any of my T1 reviews? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fDu0L1sGFpI.html
