Pretty sure he just does it to come off as more confident than normal. Like some kind of weird mind game. But snake really took a shit in his cereal when he critiqued him. Which is why i think that moment really stuck with him is because he just randomly mentions it again much later.
I like to think that the reason Snake lets Ocelot do his thing instead of just quickdrawing on him is because he enjoys watching a fellow gun enthusiast show his skill and appreciation for the craft. It's like, even though Ocelot's kinda young and cocky, he senses a kindred spirit in his enemy and pays him the respect a worthy opponent deserves. Now that's the heart of a duel.
I saw that too and was pretty damn impressed. The fact he'd treat them like loaded guns shows the amount of respect he must have for his work. I'd say if the video game award shows had a award for mocap actors, he would definitely win with how much work he's done just for one single character.
From what I hear that is like protocol number one among any person who handles guns. Right up there next to not pointing the barrel directly or even indirectly at anything you dont consider a target where it can be helped, which is like.... 90% of professional and recreational settings.
They are still exaggerated, but it turns out some ridiculous things are actually possible for some people, lol. It's still exaggerated in the sense that he leaves himself wide open for so long while doing these tricks, and no one ever just shoots him, lol.
-I wanna see a guy juggle 3 guns!- *Whispering* What do you mean it's a safety hazard? *Normal voice* So apparently, juggling 3 guns is not considered very safe and that juggling 2 is stretching it. Joking aside, that's pretty good. I riked that arot!
Considering the fact that Ocelot can shoot faster than the eye can see, it's not the best idea to shoot him while his spinning his revolvers. If anything else, It may just piss him off and maybe prompting him to get serious.
ArmskillerV2 There is a video of someone actually doing the juggling 3 revolvers scene, it is possible. Obviously the guns aren't loaded, but it is so hard to do and so cool.
@The One, The Only, The Official Mr. Troll Face Bold of you to assume that military personnel don't like games. Actually i'm pretty sure i know more people that play games than not.

Perhaps. Maybe I'm too forgiving or ...whatever someone will say about how personally, as over-the-top and stupid some of the cutscenes were. I loved them for that very reason. Maybe it's because as much as I would have liked to see the cutscenes more closer to MGS1, I still found it entertaining, funny and sometimes awesome in how some of them played out. As much as several of them made no goddamn sense, even though this is a series where sanity flies out of the window. But then again what helps make the insanity stand out is how there's still some bit of realism to nearly every game. ...I said BIT, not a large chunk. But I can understand where you're coming from. As for the video itself. Part of me on one hand was not too surprised by the fact a lot of this was done either by motion capture or as means of a reference. I've seen videos of others being able to do some crazy (and very unsafe) gun tricks but that's also a point to Ocelot among other things. It's awesome. In the prior video about how Yongyea either had to speed up or slow down some parts, I had a feeling anyone and everyone watching was about to see something ...pretty good.
Twin snakes is over the top because you have snake jumping to the ceiling to hide from a guard, jump dodging a chunk of concrete that any sane person would duck under or break their leg.. and plenty of other things. This is simply spinning something fast enough to swat a bug.
"Twin snakes is over the top" *meanwhile cyborg ninja raiden is swinging two gaint mechs from his ankles while a gay shirtless vampire with a cock knife does breakdancing to dodge them*
Ocelot is a Quickdraw if you actually challenge him in his boss fight. He gets damn faster too that it rivals RDR2. Ocelot is as quick as Arthur and John. Both the draw and reload
The first encounter with ocelot i was like "whoa, this dude cool and shady af" second encounter "alright.. cool skill" third "plz no spin more than 15s"
This guy is like a magical girl transformation. You let this guy just show off his spinning skills when you have like 3 whole minutes of everybody just watching this guy spin and throw.
The little noises of the SAA being holstered and handled is music to my ears. I didn't know there was such a thing as gun spinning ASMR but here we are
Ocelot: *rolls his eyes and unleashes all 12 shots like a machine gun into the normie's chest and head* now thats over, *reloads too damn fast* let's try that again.
The first few times I saw this, I was obviously in awe at the irl gunspinning. And I still am, but every time I watch it now I gain a new degree of appreciation for the in-game animation. This time I'm really appreciating that they resisted the urge to make ocelot look straight forward the whole time. The animation just feels so real and grounded in reality. Because it was done in reality!
What really kills me is when he INTENTIONALLY fucks up the first revolver guntwirl to accurately show Ocelot's first time with it It takes a lot of skill to twirl a gun good. It takes even greater skill to do it badly on purpose.
Me: "MGS3 is the best game ever." Also me: "Oh right, there's a scene where where Ocelot kills bees by twirling his pistols." Me again: "MGS3 is the best game ever!"
You ejected the first bullet by hand, didn't you? I see what you were trying to do, but testing a technique you've only heard about in the middle of battle wasn't very smart. You were asking to have your gun jam on you. Besides, I don't think you're cut out for an automatic in the first place; you tend to twist your elbow a little to absorb the recoil. That's more of a revolver technique. - But, that was some fancy shooting. You're pretty good.... ;)
Fun fact he was named tornado because when he was born he didn't cry..... didn't even make a sound and just instinctively started pistol flipping his own ambilical cord
Straught up one of my favourite videos on the plateforme, cracks me up every watch while also leaving me speechless in front of this man's incredible skills.
Didi you know that during that scene where he just shoots him, that wasn't meant to happen. Indiana Jones (forgot actor name) had to use the bathroom and decided to shoot instead of doing the actual sword fight that was meant to happen
I will always remember Harisson Ford (watched all Indiana Jones') as the president from the movie Air Force One because in Just Cause 1, the president who's the enemy in that game says to the hero in the final scene that he's seen the Air Force 1 movie and in that movie the president always wins and that was quite hilarious. Since then I could never forget Harisson.
The legend that created one of the most famous gunslinger in gaming history. And the character that inspires millions of people of gun slinging. Well gotta day. Tears in my eye
As a gunslinger myself (note that I only really know a handful of simple tricks. I am an amateur, self taught) this guy's moves are incredibly impressive. I approve
I can do it, but only 1 spin. I don't think I'll ever get more than that but it's easy to do one after practice. More than 1 underhanded spin is like magician level skill though. Respect to anyone devoted enough to pull it off.
Guy 1: " I'm a doctor and went to school for 8 years to earn it." Guy 2: "Oh yeah? Well I'm a billionaire entrepreneur." Tornado: " I spin guns around like an absolute badass." Guy 1+2: Shit....y-you're pretty good.
I always thought Ocelot was an annoying old guy in MGS. I didn't even notice that I beak him in the first one and in the 2nd one I only noticed him because of Liquid. But in MGS3 he became one of my favorite characters of all time. And 4 made me love him even more, he's the ultimate soldier.
