Lose its charm probably not. The city has worked hard to preserve since 1845. And keeping big box and franchise out of downtown and Gruene is by design. Traffic? Yes. But the goal there is to maintain times not increase. Still some steps to go, it’s definitely exciting
Hi Kathy no updates on that and it was planned for loop 337 according to my source. Would be nice. Definitely need more options. I’m a little surprised we don’t have at minimum a Central Market at one of our HEB’s like the one in Alamo Heights
@raadalawanrealtor oops my correction, I live by Creekside (306 area). But yes, loop 337 and 46 is what I meant to say. I agree. It would be nice to have other choices besides HEB. Even as you stated, a Central Market would be nice. I lived at ine time in the Columbia Missouri area, and we had Hy-Vee they were wonderful as they had whole sections that were foods from local farmers (vegetables as well as meats)
As usual, more commerce, more residential, no infrastructure. increase the size of the roads, make affordable housing for the people living here and work here last but not least, the grid. Our grid barely handles what we have now, conserve electricity during the day, etc. Now the government wants everybody to buy electric cars when the grid can't handle what we have now. If you're only seeing tax dollar signs from building put some of that money into infrastructure development.
Quite the opposite. City knows what it needs but reacts to growth because that’s lol that can be done. Imagine city coming to you and asking you to pay your taxes for the next tens years because they THINK there will be growth. Doesn’t work like that so cities react to growth vs. pro act
I'm looking forward to that Torchy's at 306 and I35. I am curious what will be developed further up 306 between the HEB and River Chase. There appears to be more development here and there along 306.
Do you think plans will be made to connect Veramindi to 306, maybe north of Greene? Although they are improving 337 to overpass River road, it’s still difficult to get to over to 306.
@@raadalawanrealtor you know what I mean. A lot of companies were making plans based on 2020/2021 demand. Target, Walmart, home builders/devs, etc. They can't possibly have the same expectations now.
The guy making these videos is just making a commercial for his business. Thanks for promoting the death of small town charm. New Braunfels will soon become a over crowded traffic disaster( which is pretty much already here at Creekside) .
Hi Charlie have you watched other video on this channel? You may have a different stance. The charm? Watch the person on the street video where we spoke with people native to New Braunfels. But I respect your opinion and can see why you say it’s growing too much too fast
Outside of downtown and Gruene it's all cookie cutter strip malls, chain restaurants and subdivisions with houses that all look alike and you could run and jump roof to roof.
@@korbinscott thanks for dropping in and watching. I'll leave the judging to my clients who moved here after watching the videos and said NB is exactly how I described it. If you watch my other videos, I don't hold back on how I describe it, good or bad. That's why people listen/watch.
