MAJOR recovery for crash between two big rigs on freeway! What a shame I personally missed this one, but thankfully Alex was here to take charge and film for me. This video is a couple months old and the first heavy duty accident recovery that he took lead on. I let him use Hulk, my 50ton rotator, to handle this crazy job.
As you'll see in the video, the blue tractor trailer slammed into the back of a chassis so hard, that it came off the locks and pushed it into the back of the tractor. The damage was so severe that the chassis itself was bent and had to be cut using my Milwaukee power tools to free it from the rear of the tractor.
Alex used his GoPro, which was on for almost the duration of this job. I think he did a phenomenal job as the lead on scene, what do you guys think?
Don't forget to head to www.pepestowla.com/shop after the video and grab your cool Pepe's swag to represent your favorite tow company!
►All footage was shot with Alex's GoPro. I also edit my own footage using Davinci Resolve Studio.
►My company logo and intro/outro graphics were created by / sa.creations
►I purchase my rigging equipment from: baileystowinginc.com/main.sc

It’s amazing how you stay cool as a cucumber when you have to deal with the owners hovering trying to save a buck but not able to contribute any logistics. These owners need to just stand back and let you guys do what you do.

I HATE it when customers hover around and constantly bugging, unfortunately part of the business. Looked like even the officer was getting annoyed at the customer. Great job!!

Not sure what the customer was worried about??? Clearly the other drivers fault and his insurance will cover everything! Unless your customer is hiding something. Did you see those bald trailer tires? Just get the f out of the way and let you do your job! Nice work on your end!

Wow...that is crazy!! Alex did good in getting things dealt with...grace under pressure and just got it done. I feel for those drivers in the traffic. The only thing I would have done is get the owners plan as to where to take the truck and trailer too and had him on the shoulder clear out of the way. He is lucky he didn't wear that trailer...thank God it was empty.

Great job Alex. What a mess this was. A trucker not paying attention, glad it was another big rig that got hit and not some small car or pickup. That would have ended up in disaster.
@FeliciaSteward-ds2dh
@FeliciaSteward-ds2dh 10 дней назад
How r u gonna ASSume that the driver wasn't paying attention? The driver could've had a medical emergency, truck failure. You know I drove a semi truck even after 3 brain surgeries and always was scared that if I ever started having seizures would I be able to pull to shoulder, push the brake, pull out my service button! Thankfully that never happened and I still passed DOT physicals every 2 years and was honest about my brain tumors and brain surgeries cause I didn't want it to bite me in the butt down the road.
@lornahardin4563

@@FeliciaSteward-ds2dh I know it was your line of work, but knowing you had a problem like that wasn't fair to other drivers for you to be taking a chance on driving. My dad started having mini blackouts, he chose to quit driving to keep people safe.

Just a suggestion. Anchor chains on ships are painted a color every so many feet so they know how much they have out. I see you counting out ten links a lot on your videos, taking time every time you need to do this. Painting a line on your tenth link would save you that time and insure your count is correct each time.
