From 3/24/2023 till 5/15/2023 we had about 400 white pine trees removed along a 1/4-mile fence row. We hand planted them 32 years ago as a privacy screen. They did their job well until they lost their lower branches and became so large that they became a hazard. This video is rather long (1 hour 5 minutes) as it completely documents the two-month long process of harvesting the trees, turning them into logs for pulp and fence posts and the smaller trees and limbs to wood chips. This was more of a tree removal operation than logging because emphasis was placed on clean-up, not damaging specified trees, not damaging our neighbor's fence (such that it is), not damaging our Auto House, and being as gentle to the land as possible. This was rather a dramatic process for us as it significantly changed the look of our land. However, at the same time offers new opportunities for habitat improvement.
