Hi Nancy! I love your videos- I laugh so much- not 'at you', but with you. You have a great sense of humor and I can't help thinking that I'm watching a mirror image of myself, lol! I seem to have the same working attitude 😄 and attention to detail and perfection, ha, ha. Thanks for making Silversmithng fun and for taking away some of the trepidation of the process. I'm looking forward to your next video- I always come away with some great tips and a smile😃 Your the best!!

Great idea, and wonderful video! When it comes to letting the flux dry,,,, instead of letting it air dry, our silver club has a heat lamp bulb that people can sit their projects under to help it dry much faster.

Thank you for all your fantastic videos, Nancy! I tell my students at the University of Michigan that along with being entertained, they can always depend on you to show the proper techniques. I hope you get a lot of support for your casting studio! C'mon all you folks who have been watching Nancy's expert videos for free, (please) cough up some cash for the woman that has graciously shared her knowledge with us!

Nancy! I'm so glad to see you've come through the plague so far! Hurray for all of us, uhm, experienced adults who are safe!

Haha! Thanks, you too! Memory-challenged adults? Slightly worn-around-the-edges adults? Haha. I could go on but, I'll stick with your choice: experienced. Thanks!

I had never thought of using a ball burr to make divot and hole. I have always used a punch and it sometimes (often?) goes a teensy bit astray and off-centre, Definitely going to try the ball burr thingy. Thanks Nancy!
@NancyHamiltonJewelry
@NancyHamiltonJewelry 2 года назад
For sure hold onto the bur well. Hold your flex shaft handle like a pen or pencil. Middle finger touching the metal and holding the bur. Your ring finger joined to your vise. The more connections you have, physically, the more success you will encounter. Great good luck to you! Thanks.

It's always a pleasure to watch your videos! I love the look of Bali beads. This was a fun one! It's so hard to find the real thing these days so this is a much appreciated tutorial! I loved your previous video from years back making lentil beads. I made several and just love them. They were actually much easier to make than I thought and turned out great! Thank you!

Great video Nancy. Ill have to find out more about your non-profit. What I have read so far is very positive. We had a non profit music studio in North Devon many years ago.

Nancy, as always, I learn so much from you. If you were to do this in argentium. What steps would be fused and which soldered. Gratefully yours! Jane Gleason
@NancyHamiltonJewelry
@NancyHamiltonJewelry 2 года назад
Jane, I don't know as I didn't make it in Argentium. I would imagine that you could fuse most of it! Something to experiment with! I'll have to try it myself, someday! Thanks Jane.

You can try using a circle template.
