I laughed my butt of when you said abt the washing machine. Many years ago we had a hunting club and one of the guys had purchased a new CB RADIO, He could never figure out why his channel display would not change till he said something to my husband. So my husband went to investigate to find out he had never pulled the plastic strip from the display channel on the radio. LOL. I love all your tutorials and have made a few of your quilts already specially the BLUE and WHITE. We all know how you love BLUE and WHITE. I have learned so much from you. I never thought I could quilt and started with some of your simplest ones. I have amazed myself. Now I am hooked! They say Quilting is facing out as women do not want to take the time to sit and sew. Well, they have not watched Jenny Doan for sure.

Wow! You have literally changed my life with quilting! I stopped piecing quilts years ago. Too much crying because I could never get my seems to match. So I became an appliquér. No more tears, but no more piecing either. Until I found Missouri Star Quilt Co.! I am addicted to jelly rolls! What a fantastic idea! I've made numerous quilts that have turned out gorgeous watching your tutorials. And now this binding tool!? Wow I feel like I've gone to quilters paradise! Thank you Jenny and your fantastic staff!!

what i love about these tutorials is that if you find the block confusing this allows you to watch as you quilt. i have the binding tool and fabric and i can watch as i sew to make sure i'm doing it correctly. this reminds me of an amish star quilt. love this jenny, thanks :)

This is a beautiful quilt. I'd just like to say a big thank you to Missouri Star and Jenny for all your great tutorials. I made my very first quilt for my sister at Christmas. Ok its not perfect at all, lol.....but considering I've only ever used a sewing machine once before making this quilt I am pretty pleased with it, lol. I should have maybe started with an easier project like a tote bag or tea towel for someone who has only ever used a sewing machine once before this project.....but your tutorials gave me the confidence to make it even if that confidence was a little misguided, teehee. I have the video on my channel if you'd like to see it. As I said, its not perfect but I truly am a very big beginner sewer, so much so that before I started sewing my quilt...I had to look at the manual on how to thread my machine, lol. I just did a stitch in the stitch quilting method as I wasn't confident enough to do free motion but it still looked good....I think. Thankfully, regardless of its flaws. my sister loved it. Thanks again,....I did give you a shout out of my video too of course. Lee xx

We like to embrace the flaws over at MSQC! I'm sure your sister loved her gift! Good luck with your next projects! You can do it!! :)

I love both design and colors! Especially the blue greens. I prefer equal yellow and blue or a more blue green. Usually the greens Jenny uses are more on the yellow side. Anyhow... as far the jelly roll and pulling out one strip... That makes me crazy! I used to manage the notions/fabric/yarn dept of a big box store, and I cannot tell you how many times I had to re-roll jelly rolls and refold fat quarters, because rude people had to open the rolls to check the colors. Back to the quilt! I love it and wasn't until about 1/32 way thru the video I realized there were two quilts! I thought the "grandson" quilt was a border on the smaller quilt, and loved the look!

This was one of the first MSQC tutorials and it was a great inspiration. The quilt started out with enough blocks for the second quilt in the tutorial however it grew to nine complete stars with sashing in between. It made a wonderful wedding gift. I love all of the wonderful ideas and short cuts in the projects. Thank you to all involved!!!

I love, love, LOVE the "Binding Tool Star" because it has such a big, dramatic impact but is so easy. I made one for my daughter as a cozy lap quilt but she hung it on the wall! Jenny's tutorials make me look like an experienced quilter, not the beginner that I really am. Thank you, Jenny.

OH MY GOODNESS!! I'm an few years behind seeing this tutorial and it is amazing!! I just love this pattern. I was browsing looking for some inspiration on a quilt for my DIL and this is it by far. I'm an old school quilter, very basic tools and patterns. I learned to quilt from 3 generations of quilters. Ya know back in the day when you used old sheets and blankets for the batting. Wonderful memories🥰. I love learning new things. I'm 53 so you can teach and old quilter new tricks lol. Thanks for the videos and your time you take to share these wonderful tutorials. I just love MSQC!! Peace and love to you, your family and staff.

I have to laugh at myself. I watched this video several times to figure out how to make this quilt from your tutorial and a photo of a red white and blue star I saw on Facebook. Your comments about the plastic strip on your binding tool was funny. I bought a binding tool at a trade fair and have only used it as a straight edge. I took my fabric selections and tools to a workshop and we were talking about your comment when someone noticed that my tool was white. She snickered and pulled off the white plastic. I had no clue that the white was a cover. I thought it was the color of the tool. A great laugh was had by all!

Not sure how MSQC is going to find this comment (for today's giveaway 1/15/16) BUT it's my favorite tutorial! This quilt looks difficult and it isn't, at all; it's a very fun quilt to make. The best part of the tutorial is Jenny's confession about the plastic wrap on her new washer/dryer.

It's so beautiful! Jenny you are my teacher. I'm very sorry that I can not buy in Russia such beautiful fabric rolls. But I try to do your homework. Sometimes even without tools. Can I send you a photo quilt? With love from Russia

I am just coming across this tutorial and love the technique and finished look. I thought the back quilt was part of the quilt until you pulled the top one off. I love the one in the background and hoping I can find the pattern for it
