Very creative way to make objects interactive like this! I do archviz, and if I want to show it to my client, is it enough to just press space and move through the camera freely?

I'm sure it is. It doesn't matter how or which object get's near the door as long as it's the object assigned.

Nice one, Johnny. I've not tried it, but could you have used a Position node instead of the 'self object and object info' node combination?

Position is a field output and transform geometry is a single value. I ran into trouble with this.
