First and foremost, it turned out to be extremely cute and looks adorable on you. No offense but your intro was way too long...over 3 minutes. I just wanted you to get to the diy part already. But besides that the tutorial was very informative and since you did the voice over/narrative type of diy which I like, I think you covered all the bases perfectly.
I am so happy I found you!! I definitely want to make a mommy and me matching tulle skirt for my daughter and I. Thank you for sharing, it looks so easy and you look fabulous in that skirt!
I'm going to do this when I start making my wedding dress! Personally I think making a Tulle skirt to go over another dress or use as a two piece is a lot cheaper than buying an actual dress.. Thanks for the tutorial!
Girrrlllll did you just crochet this dress!!! I smiled from ear to ear when I saw this. I have a Gala to attend this weekend and my seamstress backed out at the last minute. This video saved my life. You are awesome. Keep up the great work!
I had never made my own clothing of any kind before. I'm putting together a themed look that requires a yellow tulle skirt, and I felt completely lost until I watched your video. Your process was so easy to follow, and after only a couple of hours I made my very first garment! I'm very pleased with how it turned out. Thank you so much for this video!
Oh my gosh! I am so glad you said you wore that skirt to church! I made one of these in pink and his reply was: It looks like something a 9 year old girl would wear." This is proof that adults women can wear them, too. So, from the bottom of my heart, I say: "Thank you!"
Super cute. My daughter wants a skirt like this for Halloween and this is perfect, I can alter lengths as well and layer her colors. Glad I found your video.
Wonderful idea! I plan to make a turquoise colored one to go under my tea length dress for my rehearsal dinner. I thought I would be in for another big project, but this is exactly what I was looking for and super easy! THANK YOU!!!
I'm going to make one next week when I'm done hockey camp and my parents will drive me to a fabric store! I can't wait! Thanks so much for this incredible tutorial!!
Love it. I made one that's pink and white with breast cancer awareness ribbon. I wear it with my blue jean guess jacket that has rips in it. sooooo cute!!!
MikkisoXTRA absolutely!! I'm wearing the black one I made to an event tomorrow night...I was having problems pairing the ivory skirt with a top 😞 But I'll definitely put it on instagram!! My name is coach_jolo if you have an account!
My 55th birthday party dinner is September 1st (my birthday is the 2nd), so I'm making a yellow tulle skirt. Yellow is my favorite color and although I have several yellow outfits, I wear yellow every year for my birthday! Your skirt came out very pretty! Thank you for the tutorial.
I loved this tutorial! My friend is getting married soon and I can't afford a dress for the wedding, so I'm choosing to give one of my old party dresses a makeover. This video gave me a great idea, thank you so much!
Hi. Thank you so much for this. I have a Princess Ball to take my two year old daughter to and I may make her and I matching tulle dresses. Thank you so much. Love, love love, if I make them I will take a picture and send them to you. Thanks again!
this is so cute and exactly what I was looking for. Although I don't have a fitted skirt I might combine it with another tutorial I seen for a skirt and make an under layer. This is so cute thought. I so have to make this. I been looking for something this simple for so long. I think this might even be what I use for my wedding dress. I want to do something unique and this is totally cute and worth it
Best no sew method I've seen yet! Definitely going to try this. I do have a question though.. How many spools of tulle did you need to complete the entire tutu?
Your method is so easy! I decided to make my own zombie skirt for my halloween costume this year. I was not impressed by the costumes I had seen and knew that I could do better. I used the back of a desk chair to tie the elastic but it worked fine. I found spider web printed tulle at Michael's Crafts and so far it looks good. I didn't buy enough though so it's not finished, but I know it's going to look great. Thank you so much for making this video!
That was almost too easy!! I really want a tule skirt and i want to make a fifties style kneelength ball gown and think this could actually work as a petticoat too!! THANKS!!!! cute doggie :)
Aprx how many bundles did you have to make/ or how many strips of tulle did you need for your skirt?? Truing to get an idea of how much I'll need. I really like the fullness of yours
You made this look so simple, I can't wait to try this tonight. I'm attempting to make a princess Tiana skirt for.a kid friendly halloween party. Would I follow the same steps using two colors?
I love love love this... and have watched this video several times...in fact after the 1st time I watched it I ran out and bought what I needed... black and white tulle.... I wanted to make one exactly like you did.. BUT just use a white strip then black.. white and black and so on and so on....LOL.... But I do have a question... since it is tied on like that.... what did you wear underneath it... because if the wind blows it is of course going to blow the strips to the side leaving you kind of ummmm exposed...LOL...... I so love this and I will make it soon... I THINK...lol.... Thanks again for your time.... (I did have another question but it has left my brain.. (happens very often to me..lol)... If I remember it I will be back to ask... Again... I love your work and can't wait to make this.... thanks so much for taking your time to show people how to do this....
YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER!!!! MY BIRTHDAY IS NEXT SUNDAY 4/5 ND I WANNA WEAR A TUTU BUT I DNT LIKE THE TULLE IN STORES SOOOO I'LL BE MAKING MY OWN THANKS TO YOU!
Thanks for providing this easy to follow no sew tulle skirt tutorial. My God parents are renewing their wedding vows in December in the beautiful Island of St Lucia. Im super excited to make this! The colors are cobalt blue and canary yellow. Would you suggest I use this color you are using and pair it with a nice cobalt top with accessories the same color?
This helped so much! I'm a fairy in a school play& we're supposed to wear something casual but still kinda childish& I think this will work great, I'll probably wear it after the production as well xD
i just think this is SO SO very ingenius. I have a question, do you think this could be used to wear UNDER a 50's style dress to make it pouff out? you know under say a Poodle Skirt or SkaterSKirt? thanks!
Luv this. Thanks for sharing. I made a Tulle tutu table skirt for a baby shower. While the parents stood thanking everyone for coming I removed the skirt from the table and wrapped it around both parents the guest loved it. lol I'm now hooked and I want to make one for myself. What kind of Tulle did you use? I noticed it has a shine to it. Also I noticed after watching other tutorials some people tied the tulle instead of looping it. Have you tried the tie method before? Which is better?
Did you say you bought six spools? Some say it's better to buy the whole bolt but it's more than 35 dollars and that's way out of my budget. Hope you answer! 😊
Ok, so I tried to make this skirt and it came out really cute but I don't feel like it looks very good on me. I did 3 layers first then I tried 2 which was actually more puffy than 3. I'm a plus size girl so I'm guessing thats adding to the puffiness. Im going to try 1 layer now and see if that works. I don't want to waste all of this tulle!
