John you didn't talk about relaxing the cable adjustment before adjusting the clutch plate, do you have something special where you don;t need to do that? also this adjustment should be done on a cool bike. Thanks

I have it in a video, but you have to run the power wire along down the frame under the tank to the battery

Good information John The set up on your clutch is for going fast which is what you do. Those of us who do cone work and low speed skills adjust our clutch out between 3/4 and a full turn because we live in the friction zone. My road king is at 3/4. The kingpin on the other hand is adjusted more like mad max. Have an awesome day and a great time in Daytona.

With the Muller clutch release ramp it has to be at 1/8-1/4 turn out due to the 18* ramps and touch longer arm. Stock is 21* ramps. I run a Muller in both bikes also. When stock with 21*, I was like you, 3/4 turn out. The 21* with stock springs is the best but just too much with stiffer springs in constant traffic.

I changed mine when I got the big more kit and lockup clutch. It’s a $30 part on Amazon. Helm joints and look better. Yes I did the ramp too

Just run regular ATF fluid for a more positive hookup Synthetic ATF for a more linear hookup Adjust clutch and cable every 10k miles

John, you might want to consider changing your lifters. They say 10,000 miles with big bore kit I have a 128 and they failed at 9400. It is a cheap repair but a disaster if they fail. Just fyi Have a great trip.

Glad you got away from the 1/2 turn. As the with the Mueller easy pull its 1/8 to 1/4 out max. You definitely like the FR better. I have the same setup with the 135 and more. Ride Safe 👍🏻

That makes a lot of since Bro. I’m glad you put this out. I installed that same clutch set up with the mueller easy on my friend’s bike. Going to go back and just to a 1/4 turn. We noticed when adjusting a 1/2 or full turn with the cable slop probably adjusted afterwards the clutch is hard to disengage or find neutral until the bike well warmed.
