Thanks for the comment! Revival can be sealed, but doesn't need to be sealed to function properly. It's a great sealer on its own. The only time you would seal it is on stamped concrete, where you have to put antiquing on it. In that case, you need the sealer to make antiquing look like it's supposed to. We do not recommend sealing Revival unless it's on stamped concrete. Thanks for watching Deco-Crete TV!!!
Thanks for the comment!!! Yes, Revival would work great for that and it would provide all the color you need. Just make sure there is no existing sealer, paint or membrane on the concrete. Thanks for watching Deco-Crete TV!
look out my Friend, what about on concrete driveways the oil thats deep in the concrete.... will it affect your product and chip or flake up?.... please reply im starting a small business herw in texas amd im going to need this product
Thanks for the comment!! The first thing to do is extract as much possible. You can heat it up with a propane torch to get it to the surface, then immediately throw oil dry on the area to soak it up. After that, scrub it with a degreaser and thoroughly power wash it. These steps will help, but there is always the potential of delamination on those areas. Make sure to explain this to your customers so everyone is on the same page, and we not recommend any warranties on those areas. Thanks for watching Deco-Crete TV!!
Just a normal paint brush works good, something around 3". It nice to have one to apply the Revival & one to re-brush it as it dries. Thanks for watching 👍
Light pressure washing is fine for maintenance. Holding the wand too close to the surface could make a line, but it won't peel or remove the coats. Thanks for watching Deco-Crete TV!!
Great question! Yes, it can be done that way. We recommend using the saw cuts as the start & stop points. Just apply and finish each block before moving on. Having a helper would speed things up, but you can do it solo. Thanks for watching👍
The best temperature is 65-70F. The concrete substrate needs to be at least 50F. Revival can be applied in sunny or cloudy weather, rain would be the biggest thing to avoid. I'll leave a link to the tech data sheet so you take a look at all the info. You can apply the second coat as soon as the first one is dry, usually around 1-2 hours. Revival will make both areas look similar. Thanks for watching!!!
So I applied the Natural color to a broom brushed patio and it looks great but now seems to show dirt really easily. Is there a sealer I can put on it?
We don't recommend sealing Revival on broomed concrete, but if you need to, D-One would be the best option. The only problem is that Revival has a 24-hour bond window for sealers. That doesn't mean you can't seal it after that, it just won't bond as well and you may notice some of it delaminate sooner than normal. You can do touch ups as needed, but if you just spot treat it, you might see a slight difference in color. Re-application of the entire area would look the best. Thanks for your interest in Revival! Let us know if you have any other questions👍
@@jeffneibarger2913 Start by pressure washing the area, then run a floor buffer with an aggressive scrubbing pad over it while it's still wet. Thoroughly rinse everything off with a power washer and let it dry for 24 hours. After that, everything will be the same as the first application. Depending on how of the original has worn off, you may only need one coat.
Hi there! Very interested in using this product on about 1500 sqft of concrete. Could you please tell me what exactly this product is? Is it a stain? Is it a paint? Is it a colored concrete overlay? I'm assuming it's not concrete since the instructions do not require a dampened concrete before applying the product.
Thanks for the comment! Revival is a urethane-based color coating. Please let us know if you have any questions before starting your project. Thanks for watching Deco-Crete TV 👍
Thanks for the comment!!! Revival does not require any acid etching before applying. The concrete does need to be completely bare and free of any sealer, paint, or other membranes. An acid etch would increase the bond, but it's not required. Thanks for watching👍
@@DecoCreteTV Thanks! And does the "natural concrete" color look natural like there's no coating on? I've seen other system that makes it pretty obvious that there's a layer of paint on, which is not a good look. Thanks.
@@pinkydolph It's as natural as it could be for an opaque color coating, and most people don't even realize that the slab is coated. It kind of just looks like sealed concrete. It is still a coating, though, and you'd have to make your own opinion of how natural it looks to you. It definitely doesn't look like paint.
