Iron separates the men from the boys.
My favorite product to use on my lawn. The only thing that I know is guaranteed to give me almost an immediate color response and a darker green lawn. Liquid iron will not only help restore color/darken the color of your lawn, but will also help strengthen roots, and help with stress tolerance.
There are many different brands of liquid iron out there. I plan to do a few videos next year using some different ones and comparing them.
Here I use the Lawn Star liquid iron. This is an awesome product that definitely made my lawn darker green! I have since formulated my own liquid iron that will give even better results!

You can make you own its called compost tea, some gardeners use for their fruits and vegetables look it up . I tried it and it worked .I learned from some guy in Alaska watching his videos .

I just want to say thank you so much for this helpful video. Recently purchased a brand new home. Unfortunately, the sewer line was crack when they laid the foundation. I didn’t discover the broken line until a year later. Plumbers tore up my front lawn and I had to start my yard completely over. I started looking for landscapers and then I came across your video so I decided to tackle my lawn myself. I took the short cut by purchasing Sod. The sod had brown spots so I purchased the liquid iron, now my grass looks better than what it originally looked like and now I have the best looking grass on my block. I get so many compliments. You are my best kept secret🤣🤣... Thank you for the videos!!! You gained another fan/subscriber☺️

Yes you can. You will get a better/quicker color response from the iron if you leave it on the grass blades a little while before watering it in. I like to apply it around 7pm and then water it in the next morning

Been doing tons of research. My current pH is 7.7. This product is supposed to be “the answer” for people with pH greater than 7. I’m going to bomb my KBG with this product :)

Great video!! The lawn looks super green & evenly cut, what lawn mower are using to cut your lawn? I am in the market for a new one and not sure witch one to purchase. I have 2000 square feet of hybrid Bermuda grass.

I mainly use a toro timemaster. For that size yard I would look into battery powered. I've used my neighbors kobalt battery powered a few times and love it. It cuts very well

So after watching this video i bought that product and used it 3 days ago. I added 16oz to 2 gallon of water for 2000sqft and sprayed it using 2 gallon sprayer at evening time and watered next morning. I did see color response the next day, but everyday it is fading away and have some spots that are yellowing which i am disappointed. I am not sure if there is anything that can alter the iron to work properly. Do you have any idea why would the green color fade and yellowing started in some areas ? Thanks in advance!

16 oz per gal........jug gone! Are you still mowing? I'm in NW indiana and our grass went dormant about 3 weeks ago. Try the Ryobi 4 gallon backpack sprayer.

NW Indiana here too Hobart. Was going to ask the same question. Feeling like I need to get one more mow in and maybe throw down another winter app. Just don't want to over do it. Not quite ready to say hello to winter.

@@jasonheath5306 Yeah.....I wasn't ready to shut it down. Wasn't sure if grass would benefit from the Iron if its dormant. I might put one down after watching this video😏 I usually go 6-8 oz per 1k. Never went over 10 oz per k, but might experiment in the back.

I am going to get my final mow in tomorrow and final fert app right after. Lawn has grown but very very little. I just did the 16 for experiment! Worked well but going forward will probably do 6-8 oz as well!

So I put this down last week and had no change.I watered it in with alittle water shortly after putting it down .I mixed it 2oz to a gallon of water in a pump sprayer.What did I do wrong.

I notice that the GCI turf tall fescue has a tendency to turn yellowish more so than some other brands of grass. Example Rebel Southern Blend in my back yard holds a deeper dark green color even without the Iron application and it holds that color well into winter whereas my GCI yellowed more which is fine because it comes back in spring but its more of a characteristic of this turf I think, but you're the pro so I could be wrong, just saying what my experience was.

Do you ever lightly water the yard after to wash the residue into soil or roots? For example, but down at 7am and then a light watering around 6 pm? Not sure if that would be any good or not with foliar applications.
