Make your own stamp chuckie, stamp glider, barren tool. This is a tutorial video. Giveaway is CLOSED.
Check out my friend Tracy's version from the dollar store:
• Make your own stamp ch...
I am told Chuck Meadows made the first one for Gina K. Here is a video of her mentioning him:
• Stamp and Chat - Whims...
I am not selling these. This is for personal use only. There are many different versions on Etsy. This is only one of many ideas I have seen. You can find retailers on Etsy or use an air hockey handle.

Someone probably already told you but Gina K has a friend lamed Chuck who made the first one for her. She named it the Chucks Tool in his honor. It was a hit with others and they asked him if he would be interested in making and selling more. He wasn’t interested in doing so. Instead, he told everyone how he made it so they could make their own or get someone to make it for them. He did recommend usingwhat you did - the pads used to move furniture. He used a furniture finial for the handle. I think your idea is inspired and I now wish I collected Yankee candles!

Oh my gosh, that’s exactly the way I made mine about four weeks ago. I also made one for my mom. I used a glass candle jar lid that is a little bit wider and flat. I think it came from a jar candle from Walmart. Then I went to Lowe’s and got the furniture sliders, but I got the circular ones that are slightly bigger than the candle lid. . I put the black, slick, foam side down and used E-6000 glue to glue the glass candle jar lid to the top. It works like a dream and I am getting much better stamped impressions and not hurting my wrist so much, as sadly, I am starting to develop a little bit of arthritis. I am giving one to my mom for Mother’s Day. I think mine cost a total of four dollars and that was for the slider pads from Lowe’s. Do not buy the slider pads that have the white plastic bottoms; those are for moving furniture on carpet and are the wrong kind. You want to buy the ones for wood floors.

Such an awesome idea using a candle lid. Love the extra touch with the glitter. I can see it being very beneficial specially for people like me that have had multiple surgeries for carpal tunnel and have arthritis in my hands. Would love to try it. I stay clear of stamping because I always mess up even with a stamping platform. Don't ask me how. I know it kills me to put the pressure on the platform and always topple the platform lol. Thanks for the great idea! 👍

I've been using an Air hockey paddle. I like this idea. I just decluttered and threw out a couple of those lids. I know I have a few more somewhere. For the glitter inside, nail polish will be less messy than glitter. Dollar tree has a huge assortment of glittery polish. Then use a top coat of clear.

If you apply the glitter nail polish to a cosmetic sponge and dab it onto your surface (in this case the glass, but it definitely works on nails too), you can get a much more uniform application of the glitter!

I also have neck & back issues from a car accident I had at 15.. Pulling & pushing make them hurt so I think this would be a great tool to have. I'm 55 & way too young to have this kind of issues with my body! I’ve thought of it as an “extra”. However, the more I see them being used on videos, the more I consider it. It helps to keep the wrists in a more neutral position, and having carpal tunnel, neutral is good (no losing feeling or experiencing tingling in neutral!) Thanks for the tutorial; I didn’t realize they could be that easy to make! 😊

I bought a tool like this specifically because I had a cling foam stamp that would not get a good impression (parts of the center of the stamp were not making contact even pressing on the top of the stamping platform.) I had to resort to placing card stock onto an inked stamp and rub the card stock onto the stamp. Couldn’t see very well to center it. LOVE this tool. Now I can easily get a perfect impression! If I had known it was a candle lid, I would have made my own, but then I would have to buy the candle. I would love the kit to make a gift for a friend!

I even looked at these on Etsy and they were too much, especially when I knew how easy it would be to make your own, IF you had a glass lid. I didn't have anything that worked and didn't want to buy a glass jar and lid just for the lid, so I just started using a dry board eraser, but I would love to have one that's all sparkly and glittery and I absolutely loved your idea about putting beads or something inside. I would like to try glitter and shells. Funny fact, I even emailed Sweet Petunia, makers of the MISTI to see if they were going to create their own version, they said probably not. Oh that's cute! I have been searching for the lids so I can make one for a while now. I knew they'd be easy enough to make and customize, and much cheaper. I know people make candles somebody's got to sell them. I have a lot of trouble with my hands, so this would help a lot! I may have found one place that sells them but I have to check. I've been planning on trying to make one but I have no jar candles. I even went to my Dollar tree because somebody in a hall had found jar candles with those kinds of lids at the Dollar tree but our Dollar tree stinks and they didn't have any. That is so super sweet of you to give one away and the extra glitter pack that is awesome!

I have been looking at these since I saw it on a Gina K video but I am on a strict budget so couldn't afford to buy one.

This is a great tool. I was thinking of making one of my own as well. The candle lid is a fantastic idea

the 'chuckie' is actually an old tool called a Baren that has been made by Speedball Company for many years. It has long been used in the printing process and was a must, back in the day, for print transference. They still sell them for @ $7 (and that's on AMZ). Or just use an old wooden 'bun' foot from a piece of furniture and wrap it with felt. Done. Cheap.

Oh wow your right I just googled it. The baren tool is used to rub the back of the printing paper after it is placed on the inked block. I love how it’s now been updated & repurposed by a glass candle lid. Much prettier!

@@craftingwithcharm7665 lol...I still have my original baren and it works as it always has. I like things that are well-loved. ;)

@@maddysgrandmommy6838 Oh I love that you have your original baren tool that is so cool! I bought an old wooden brayer from a yard sale & I use it when I make my cards. I love vintage items along with pretty updated things.😊
