If you want to make your RC EDF Jets whistle through the sky like the real thing take a look at my video and listen to the awesome sound of my Avanti S. Click the link below for the 3D print file: www.thingiverse.com/thing:286...
I noticed a difference when I mounted the whistles on the outside of the fuselage. They tend to whistle more consistently then when they were inside the EDF
Sounds great. I just went to my local Dollar tree store and bought a couple of $1 generic nerf footballs and robbed the whistles out of them. Lol Great video. Thanks.
As you mentioned, about the Nerf whistle, yeas ago Pilot Ryan and Capt Mike did that but he put it in the tail pipe so the effect is there even on the ground.
I’ve got the FMS a-10 and the Freewing 80mm. Both are impressive in the air, but since I never mentally matured past the age of 15, I’d like something like an Aztec Death whistle sound as I do fly overs. I bought a Futura v3 about 6 months ago, (maybe the most perfect EDF I’ve ever own) it has a nice sound to it stock. Since I again, never mentally matured past the age of 15, I bought a 2nd Futura v3, and wanted to make a SUPER FUTURA v4. (Platinum FMS 80mm fan, 130 amp Avian ESC) With the upgrades, I neutered the Futura where it makes no sound at all. I was thinking 2 big whistles on the fuse and 2 small whistles inside the air intakes. Thanks for the video!! 3, no, 4 thumbs up!👍👍🏽👍🏿👍
You can buy the Nerf type whistles that work well. For fitting it's just as easy as make a small hole where you think will be most effective and glue the whistles in place.
Well i cant say my Turbine Jet whistle, the whistle sound is so low i can only hear it some times. not every time i fly it, and have not noticed it until i did see this video, i had to watch my own Trubine video´s to listen after it.. and well, noo.. maybe one time ..
Just marked the position on the wing, drew around the base to get the circumference of the hole and used a scalpel blade to cut the circle and then criss cross the area to start breaking the foam away.
I have only recently discovered these talking with a buddy that uses them. I have an idea for another project, off chance you have the original model and will to share or sell for personal use? Thanks!
There are all kinds of Critter Calls from coyote, Rabbit, Crow, Turkey Duck & Goose I'm sure so enterprising sound Engineer could be able to make a Bomb or Centerline fuel tank shaped Whistle type devise that might sound Like a P&W R-2800 or Marline engine. Think hard a lot of Foam Electrics gould benefit. You might make a few Million $ in the Process
