I derogatorily love the Hourglass setting spray. The cost per mL isn't bad, but $50 at once for setting spray seems too much....but it supports makeup through my nap-based lifestyle.
YOU LOOK SO INSANELY GOOD IN PINK like ugh the pink pony club jacket YES GIRL... it makes your eyes look so bright and your hair look so vibrant and shiny. A SERVE. 10/10.
this is such a good concept for a video! my begrudgingly loved product is the givenchy loose powder blush. it feels soo extra how i have to decant a little powder and pick it up with a brush but it goes on like watercolour, it's blurring and long lasting..ugh!!
I love that e.l.f. liquid contour wand. I’m fair olive, and it’s the only thing I’ve tried that is cool enough for me. Everything else turns orange. I also think it blends well. My love for it is annoying because I really hate looking at ugly products, especially drugstore, on my vanity. I keep it hidden in a drawer so that I don’t have to look at it until I use it. 😅 and then I quickly put it away. 🤣🤣🤣
Fun concept! I hate to love the Victoria Beckham Beauty brand. I really wanted it to be just another celebrity brand, mid-quality or cheap packaging and sub - par, generic formulas....I've never hated being so prejudiced towards a product more!!!! I love love love several of the products. More than pleasantly surprised and impressed! Saying this as a Spice Girl fan. I agree 100%: we like what we like, no one else's preferences are correct or incorrect. Let's just all have fun and admire your bubblegum pink corduroy Trixie jacket!!!!!!
Lmao i love this video idea! Not surprised to see so much Charlotte Tilbury on here 😂😂 I literally think if her products were $10 cheaper, they would feel worth it. The two products I love but feel like I shouldn't are the Ilia Serum Skin Tint and the Hourglass holiday palettes. The Ilia smells so bad. Like a used baby wipe (or to quote HLP "wood chips and butt!"). But it looks so beautiful and I've never found a better color match. And the Hourglass palette is soooo expensive for what it is. I didn't pay full price and maybe if I had I'd feel differently, but I think even at the discounted price it was too much. But I do admit, the powders are really nice and I reach for it almost every day 🤡
@@hautemesstom you sure did…I just rewatched your short on it like 5 minutes ago! I have the Victoria Beckham Lid Lustre in Mink and I’m wondering what it’s like compared to Smoky Quartz
Loved this concept! I love the Byredo colour sticks in a very VERY derogatory way. They're sticky, they don't dry down, and cost a billion dollars, but for some reason, just really like my super oily eyelids and the little magnet in the cap... damn you cap magnet for charming me like that!
I got a mini of the Pillow Talk lipstick and I hate that I love it. 😅 No shade is universal Charlotte Dahling...but yeah dammit i have to admit it works on me. I've loved every CT thing I've gotten as gifts with purchase and I am furious about it. So I relate to your mixed feelings.
1. The feeling you described of pre-hating something after watching a review is 1000% and I appreciate your acknowledgement of the femininomenon 2. The thing I love derogatorily is YSL Lash Clash. So good. So expensive. Still smudges a teensy bit. Ugh.
I‘m so excited for the Moonlight palette, I am planning on getting this even though I also own the original EE. Cannot wait for your review of the new one!
I feel the same about AboutFace. I really want to try their formulas, but all their colors are so vibrant and intense. Which I get since they are festival style makeup, but could we get some fun grungy colors too, Please 🙏🏻
Those About Face lip butters do come in a few neutral colors but I agree some grungier colors would be nice. The shade Kiwi Fuzz is my perfect neutral brown. Also I hate that I love squeezy tube lip balms. Laneige and SF are my favorites.
I got a deluxe sample of the YSL CandyGlaze in 02-Clear. I tried it and immediately told myself it was nothing special for the price. But then I used it up, and realized it WAS worth it, and started planning to get it on sale 😅
sisley has a l'orchid blush that is 120$. I have it and I love it. To be fair to myself, I got it half off. BUT that is still 60$. It's so pretty and I hate that I love it so much.
LAWLESS FORGET THE FILLER GLOSS. it came in this sephora set and i didn't have high expectations because this brand just seems like it's made for blonde hair blue eyed people (aka not me) but.... i finished the tube and i think i want another
You unlocked a memory when it comes to wretched smelling products. The farmacy honeymoon aha bha body cream smells like actual v0mit. If you read reviews they almost all say the same thing: smells horrible, works amazing. Do I loathe the smell but still use it? Mmm hmm! I both hate & love it!
I found you through Theresa is Dead, although it took me a bit, because i swear she was saying Hot Miss Tom, so that's what i searched for. 😂 Fun video!
products i like derogatory... those damn naturium balms. they make me so mad because theyre not even that inexpensive, theyre $12! and come puffed up with air so youre paying for half the product you think youre getting. and ive gone on record saying vegan lip balms annoy me. but they really are good at what they say theyre good at... and they make my lips look so full and kissable 😭😭 i cant stand the fact that i like them.
I don't smell the city lips but their mask just smells like citrus patrolium jelly and it grosses me out 😂 I feel like in my 40's my lips disappeared, I put the city lips on as an overnight mask and they look like they did in my 20's. The fullness and color came back ❤
Tom, the new Makeup by Mario palette looks gorgeous--but the only shadow in the palette that is calling me is the blue shade. Can you offer an alternative shadow or less expensive palette that would give the effect of that gorgeous blue??????????
Were you just looking for a matte navy? I would look at your other palettes first! Matte navy was a very popular shade for palettes for a while. Otherwise I’d look to an indie brand for a single navy shade. I’m not big on navy so I can’t make a personal recommendation to you.
Most lip plumper smell like mint/menthol or like big red in my experience. The city lips product smells.. so chemically but in a terrible way with a bit of vanilla but the vanilla isn’t strong enough to overpower the hideous scent that lies beneath.
Love a good hater! I hate that I love this stupid expensive luminizing serum by Chantecaille. The luminescence is entrancing. I think I'll try the RDF primer next, cuz I will not pay over $100 for a glowy "primer" again. (I hope 🤪)
I’m in love with a Lancôme blush subtil & it’s ridiculous to spend $35 on a nothing blush but it’s such a great tinted powder when I need color in my face but don’t want to do complexion makeup. I’ve tried a more affordable option but it’s just not quite what I want.
@@montananerd8244 I totally understand. I'm pale af, so finding just the right blush can be tricky business. And when you stumble on a good one, sometimes it's worth the splurge so you're not wasting money one cheaper ones you don't like 😉
The Violet Voss essentials palette. None of the colors look particularly appealing to me in the pan, the packaging is ugly, it’s old as heck (got it from a old coworker who got it from a beauty box and never used it), never convinced it’ll go with my undertone, was dubious of the formula……. It’s perfect for me and I hate it. Every time I use it somehow it’s the best look I ever made. No creasing patchiness fussiness etc. Colors are perfect. I hate to pick it up but when I do I feel like it’s the only thing I should ever use. But it’s so Ugly! And it’s embarrassing……. Violet Voss? In the year of our lord 2024?
@@hautemesstom No, really?? I'd say I cant believe it, but I'm literally wearing it today so.... surely others must be keeping them afloat (and also shamefully keeping it a little secret as well bc NOBODY talks about VV anymore)
@@gueneveve1296they still release new palettes and still have excellent quality eyeshadows! Easy to blend and build, non patchy, beautiful metallics but also sparkly shimmers. They are very underrated
