To quote the kids, those eyeglass frames eat. (Is that right? They are so frickin' cool!) The RdF Eye Soot brings me back to the early 90's when I'd party until 0300, drop into bed with my makeup on, wake up for work at 0600 and look absolutely punk and deliciously smudgy. Andromeda nailed this collab and I 💚 the Borealis highlighter, too. I'm also with you on those UD eyeshadows and reach for Lithium all of the time. It's just easy and delivers the sparkle.
hindash highlighter triumphs over Gucci one??!!!????!!!??!!! I would have lost that bet! I do agree, it has that je ne sais quoi, somewhat soft glam finish, as if the sparkles are floating above the skin. LOVE! I'd love to see the dresser craft videos! As well as the "things I changed my mind about/ pr testing updates " content. Go forth, tits out! 🏁 Edit: most definitely a reprieve, thank you 💛
My bullet of Slip from Merit completely fell apart upon first use. I had to replace it. Since then I use their lipsticks flat from the top like I would a chapstick because I don’t think they can withstand a diagonal pressure and I don’t want them all breaking. Also the bullet from their complexion stick falls out - like half of mine have done that (I have several shades both new and old component) and it’s such a pain in the butt especially for travel - I’m always afraid it’s going to fling out onto the floor and be rendered contaminated. Somehow I still use and enjoy much of the brand despite the rookie mistakes, but it would be nice if they did more quality control for matching formula to component before they release it. I think they have compelling shades and packaging aesthetic, and while some items are a total miss, some have become fast staples for me.
Ooh, the flat application is a good idea (but the bullet is so slanted!!) Mine are just alll bent at the base at this point. I’d initially heard it was the paler colors that do this, so I was very very careful with baby (don’t have slip-looks super orange on me), but the dark colors do this just as much! I have 1990, fashion, l’avenue. I’m dealing with it because they’re so wearable and I love them, but stiffening the formula a bit seems so so needed on their part.
I don’t think the complexion stick I finished ever did that but I did have issues with multiple lipsticks. I agree that they should firm up the formula a bit but it’s funny that it hasn’t prevented us from continuing to use them either 😂
@@hautemesstom I know - I can’t quite figure that out! I guess it’s like a good friend who sometimes makes bad food but they’re so loyal we still want them in our life. 😂
Yes I love merit, but the matte lips broke in one use. The high liter balms also broke tips off. The new merit primer is nice but it’s still 90 here so we’ll see in winter months . I’m getting the merit perfume tomorrow and can’t wait. Have you tried their fragrance yet? I have fun here Tom can’t be afraid 24/7 thx ❤❤❤
i swear i'm one of the only people to get on reasonably well with that covergirl eye enhancer mascara lol. it's not my favorite formula ever but it doesn't smudge for me and the color is so interesting. i hope more companies start going after these offbeat brown colors! i know charlotte tillbury has that one red color of her pillowtalk mascara? can't think of any others though
🌸 unfortunately merit baby made me look corpsey, and emphasised lines on my lips, which I’ve never had before! I gave it to a friend who it looks great on. But £28 down the drain 😭. I love the Lisa Eldridge formula though.
Hey tommm!! Just tell me the best ethereal type of pallette to buyyy 😭 I missed out on the makeup by Mario ethereal eyes and the market is so overwhelming ahhhh lol anyway love the glasses and that eyeshadow is gorgeous
I agree with @thejulietocean that if you have INAN that you have the ethereal eyes palette and then some. I recently came into an INAN palette and find it gives similar looks.
@@hautemesstom ok ok… I do really love my I need a nude palette. I’ll have to compare just visually. I’ve been eyeballing the sigma mermaid palette 👀 it’s sooo beautiful and ethereal in a more bright fun colored way
any tips or could you do a demonstration of olivine? I had a soot a few years ago in their old packaging and i’m not sure if it was dried out (bought off a third party website) or user error but I couldn’t seem to get the product to pick up on a brush or finger without really digging around. this colour looks beautiful!
Yeah I’m not sure if/when I’ll do a live again. It’s not out of the realm I just am busier now than I was when I did those regularly! But I miss them sometimes too (no editing!!!!!)
