We are back with another Makeup Verzuz. This time we are comparing two popular foundations from our friends at Nars. Nars makes great complexion products and have a great range of shades for brown skin tones. I purchased the Nars Soft Matte Foundation when it first came out last year and I loved it right away. It was my first Nars foundation actually. Since then, I had been curious about their other foundations and got the Natural Radiant a few weeks ago and I think its my new favorite.
Don't get me wrong, I love a matte finish. But sometimes using a matte foundation with a setting powder and all the other makeup can look a bit dry and cakey. The radiant finish of this foundation leaves you with the most perfect soft but still matte finish once you set everything. But if you have oily skin you will 100% need to touch up throughout the day as shine and oil will peak through more here.
To compare, both are about the same in price. You get .5 FL more in the Soft Matte bottle than you do in the Natural Radiant bottle. Also, while the Natural Radiant Foundation is in a glass bottle with a pump, the Soft Matte is kept in a plastic squeeze bottle. These are both full coverage so the major difference here is the finish. So which one wins here? For me, its the Nars Natural Radiant Foundation. Trust me, if you like matte makeup you can still get that look. And I do still love the Soft Matte and will use that when I know I need to wear makeup for a long period of time.
