Get yours at makeymakey.com Make a piano out of bananas, play Mario on Play Dough, let your kitty take a picture of herself. This is a simple invention kit for beginners, experts, and everything inbetween.
Well, It’s common knowledge that you can hold the bars, so it’s pretty much useless unless you want to say “ R/WoOoOOOoOoOooOo0OoSH haHa GOtTeM!1!1!1!1”.
Just got a Makey Makey in a monthly HackerBoxes kit and I love it, such a creative tool! My niece and I spent hours building all sorts of projects using this video as inspiration, everything was so simple to set up and the concept is so intuitive that it only took a few minutes to explain the basics to her and she was able to come up with plenty of ideas of her own. Fantastic job guys, glad to see you're still going strong a decade later.
Guys, they made Makey Makey, Vat19 only sells and advertises items except Not-a-Cat cat. VAT19 MADE A COMMERCIAL 4 MONTHS AGO, THIS WAS MADE 4 YEARS AGO
Wow, this is a big step in technology. I would've never thought of something like this, you guys are bound to win awards, become rich, and invent far better things. Great work guys!
-88% of people are arguing because people think Vat19 made this. -1% of people think that Vat19 made this. -11% Of people that asks is mayonnaise is an instrument
Even after 10 years I want this, I remember in yr 5 (back in 2016) we used these in IT lesson and it's still very cool and mind blowing! Too bad it's like £50 to get one, I'm 16 and don't have a job so I can't afford, but I did then I would not hesitate to buy one.
This is a great introduction to Makey Makey, showing what it can be used for. Makey Makey is a circuit board that serves as a bridge to alternate input devices (i.e. devices other than keyboard, mouse, joystick, etc.) For example, you can use play dough rather than a gaming console or bananas rather than a midi piano keyboard.
Yes at the time the video was made we only had the green circuit board. We had designed the red one. Then when we announced the kickstarter we had an early version of the read one that had H and J. In the end we shipped a board without H and J, but we are thinking of how to put things like that back in eventually. Lots of decisions to make...
The amount of idiots in the comments thinking VAT19 made this, is astonishing. VAT19 is essentially Amazon, online retailers, who advertise stuff they find curiously awesome. These guys created Makey Makey, and VAT19 advertises and resells their product in exchange for a small cut. Its sad to see these guys get hate for making something amazing, just because people don't do research and rush to conclusions.
5 Things I Would Make: -A Book Drum -A Paper Gamepad With Undertale Souls For Playing Undertale -A Chair That When Sat On, Makes A Fart Sound -A Blanket That Play A Soothing And Tiring Tune When Touched -A Cooler That Makes An Ocean-Like Sound When Water Is Dispensed
I don't know all the technical details of this product, but I assume this operates by capacitive electrics, just like the principle used in a touch-pad. That means that basically anything you attach that is not a very strong electric isolator (glass or plastic for example) will carry the signal. Since graphite (what is inside pencils) does conduct electricity - that will also carry the signal even if its just a thin sheet of it drawn onto a surface - so that is basically why that works :)
Graphite is a tricky one. You actually have to be able to handle resistance sensing ranges in the Mega Ohms, which MaKey MaKey does. Then you have to draw your lines carefully to make them dark enough (like you're taking a scantron test, except way more fun). I'm actually stoked that you would call this fake. It almost seems unreal right? Awesome!
2018 May be dumb tbh But creative and awsome So Shut the Fuck up you shit Being a kid is awsome that bein adult on my opinion Act like a kid just 5 sec or how long it will take. Dont Judge a vid by its thumbnail
