रात भर दीदा-ए-नमनाक में लहराते रहे साँस की तरह से आप आते रहे जाते रहे (दीदा-ए-नमनाक = आँसू भरी आँखें) ख़ुश थे हम अपनी तमन्नाओं का ख़्वाब आएगा अपना अरमान बर-अफ़्गंदा नक़ाब आएगा ( बर-अफ़्गंदा नक़ाब = बिना परदा किये) आ गई थी दिल-ए-मुज़्तर में शिकेबाई सी बज रही थी मेरे ग़मखाने में शहनाई सी (दिल-ए-मुज़्तर = व्याकुल/ बेचैन दिल), (शिकेबाई = धैर्य, धीरज, सहनशीलता) शब के जागे हुए तारों को भी नींद आने लगी आप के आने की इक आस थी अब जाने लगी (शब = रात) सुबह ने सेज से उठते हुए ली अंगड़ाई ओ सबा तू भी जो आई तो अकेले आई (सबा = हवा) -मख़्दूम मोइउद्दीन
The best part of Jagjit Sir is not how many difficult song he sang .it's how he was able to make us emotional with his voice . Sometimes it can be a simple song, sometimes it can be a difficult gem.
There is no comparison . I am a fan of Kumar Sanu as a light music singer. Don't bring him into Ghazal music. To sing Ghazal, you not only be trained in classical music but you have to understand the nuances of Urdu and be fluent with it and it comes with practise and dedication.
