Thanks for this recipe and always thank you for being so positive and honest about your soapmaking and reward errors that you made along the way and Waste to correct it
I just wanted to thank you for your tip from a previous video when you remove the gel from the leaves to save the leaves in the freezer and use them for sunburns. I applied sunscreen to my kids almost every hour to hour and a half while we were at the beach this past week at my parent's camp and we still got some sunburn. At the last min I grabbed them out of my freezer and brought them with us. My kids were complaining their shoulders hurt so I put the leaves on them and made them sit still. Can't wait to get this soap. Starting to stock up on some of your soaps early for my youngest son's Christmas present. He just loves you and loves watching your videos. That is how I got him to sit still with the aloe leaves on. I handed him my phone and put on your videos and he sat still for over an hour. He loves watching you stamp your brand name he giggles every time you wack the soap.
I have a video file titled "MUST TRY," and it is stuffed full of your videos, Ellen! Here's the best part, though... my video file of "MUST MAKE AGAIN" videos is equally populated with your videos! 😊Your formulations are just so rock-solid, even for a newbie to try! Thanks so much!
These turned out beautiful, as usual! 🎉 I made the laundry soap with your recipe today. I can't wait to try that in a little while. God bless you and your family, Ellen! 💞🙏
You always make the most beautiful soaps! I make hot process soap, so even though I can make them more fluid, they never come out as pretty as yours. I live vicariously through you making these pretty soaps. But I am hoping I can learn to do something a little different with my soaps by watching.
I thought the embeds were hollywood pink lol, i love the two colors in this soap, i have them both and they make a very pretty soap and this soap is very pretty ❤❤❤❤. Thanks Ellen
Internally I was hollering at the screen to remind you to NOT cover the slab 😂 I LOVE the pinks and the swirls are amazing! How do you decide when to stop with the hanger swirl? I could keep going forever because it feels so neat with the batter slightly fighting back. Thanks for helping to start my day on a soapy note. Have a wonderful day, Ellen.
Hi Ellen, I have a question, please help me! Soponified soap base needs to cure and air dry, but melt and pour soap embeds sweat if in contact with air. So how do you cure one of these soaps, which have both types of soap (soponified and melt and pour)? I made some dishes of "fruit loops cereal with milk" and I'm curing the base but the fruit loops embeds of melt and pour soap are sweating. I don't know what to do... :'(
I used to watch a couple of different soap makers until I found your channel, now I'm hooked on YOU only. I love how you teach us and how thorough you are! Thank you! I have not made soap yet but have ordered and received what I need. I'm both excited and nervous to make my first batch but you make it all look so easy. One question I have is; how much time do I need to make a batch? Can I make it after work?
I definitely need to get those citrus slice molds, some people like the botanical embeds but most don't it seems, they're like...what do i do with this dehydrated orange slice in the shower...
I have been following you for a long time and love your content. Have you ever done a video on your soap photography set up? I find it hard to take nice pictures of soap, and your pictures are always so pretty.
Hi Ellen, I love your videos. I've just recently upgraded to a bar cutter. Previously I cut my soaps with a knife but now I've switched to a wire cutter I don't get a smooth cut. the inside cuts of my soap are really bobbly. I've had other soap makers say its air bubbles but I never noticed when cutting with a knife. I looked at your cuts and the inside cuts on your soap are so smooth, what's your secret! ;)

@@EllenRuthSoap thank you so much for your answer. I make my own melt and pour base from scratch. I guess I'll have to buy low sweat or add some drying additive to the recipe.
Have you ever considered or would you consider doing your skin care routine or what soap you use? Your skin is flawless and I’m about your age and jealous. 😂
