Making a 9 Foot long speedometer cable using a right angle adapter with a 0.150sq tip
This customer brought us in his old cable which was old and cracked and had some little bits on it melted off. So I rebuilt him an entirely new cable with a 0.104sq tip on the gauge end along with a 5/8-18 nut and at the bottom end we fitted a 1:1 right angle ratio adapter to take the bend off of the cable so his new cable will last for a lot longer!

I have an 89 Dodge B250 How do I know What type of adapter 2 get If I cannot find any stamping on my current adoctor.

If you have a current adapter, you might be able to get away with counting the teeth on the gearing but if its a straight adapter not so much.

Thanks for this informative video. I am mounting a cab from a military FLU419 to a Unimog 406. Unfortunately the Flu419 cable was hacked off. How do I identify the connection at the transmission end?

The transmission end is probably 7/8-18 for the nut and as for the tip. You will need to use calipers on the tip to see how big it is. Also if the tip is square or round with a tang.

Looking to repair Speedo cable and housing for 300zx will cutting the length down of the cable affect the accuracy of the speedometer?

No, The length of the cable does not affect the accuracy of the speedometer. The only things that will mess with the accuracy will be things like changing to a new diff ratio. changing tire sizes ect ect.
