This is truly one of the most beautiful office chairs - especially for watching Fortnite. First off - I am so happy the glue bottle mishap made the cut and on a more serious note, the addition of the walnut armrests is one of my favorite parts, so I'm glad you added that to the design - awesome work Kris!
I admire anyone who puts themselves out there to share their creations like this. We're better off as a society being inspired by these awesome works. Much respect for your skill, hard work and willingness to share all the challenges.
Dude you killed this project! Wow. Something I've never even considered to do but you make it look easy. Thanks for taking us through the process. I gotta stop by the office and try it out
Spectacular!! My heart nearly went up my throat when that piece broke on you! Fantastic save! You did a really awesome job dude. I tipped my hat to you!
That is one sexy beautiful chair. Love it and the fact that you added walnut is just the cherry on top. Good luck and hope you win the challenge. It will be well deserved.
How could I not sub for something this epic! Honestly speaking, even with all the power tools, this has definitely taken forever and I understand your pain. I don't have a whole lot of power tools and my sander broke in the spring, so I've spent the past week renovating two dining chairs made of fir. Both of them were painted white, so I had to strip off the paint with a heat gun and scraper, then sand them with 60 grid and then with 150 grid, before fixing the dowels that broke, giving it wax and put it back together. There are 36 pieces total. I'm almost through the 150 grid sanding stage. Did 12 pieces in 60 grid today and 30 in 150. Safe to say, I'm tired of sanding. Also, my hand hurts 😂
awesome work! first time to your channel. very impressed! i audibly lamented with you when the hub broke! fortunately, no one heard me. anyway, great job and amazing chair.
Haha, that's awesome. Thanks for checking out my channel. Hoping to have a few more builds out before the end of the year. I appreciate you commenting.
Beautiful chair. I love this challenge, but I haven't been able to do anything for it. Don't think I'll have time with it being craft show season and just moving.
Very nice! I need to get one of those vaccum systems. You could have really damaged someone or your pice pushing the wood on the wrong side of the router bit against the fence. I made that mistake only once. It's easy to make the mistake.
Thinking of making a base like this for a chair from ikea, since the ones it come with are a fake stainless-looking one - how has it stood up with the weight/use over the years? The split seemed inevitable at first with just how much force these wedges make!
