Making a game cheat trainer from scratch in C# 

Nice library. Can it do Code caves?

Hi, I have always encountered this problem using this dll in my trainers, if it is not an .exe extension when I give the input to start my hacks nothing happens. Let me explain, in this case when I click on my checkbox, it doesn't work, this is what I entered: m.WriteMemory ("GameAssembly.dll+00DA5A84,5c, 0,34,28", "int", "1"); The order of the offsets is correct, so this is not the problem... I also inserted the manifest file to run the program as administrator, the BackGroundWorker find the process correctly .. but still nothing. What I say is, if it was: m.WriteMemory ("GameAssembly.exe+00DA5A84,5c, 0,34,28", "int", "1"); Or: m.WriteMemory ("base.exe+00DA5A84,5c, 0,34,28", "int", "1"); The input would start and the hacks would be activated .. any ideas? pls help

I do not see app manifest in my C# add new item, does this have anything to do with me not installing C# tools? I only installed C++ tools EDIT: don't click the solution name, just click your trainer directly under the solution name

I assume you're the same person who came into the Discord channel yesterday. Don't use a timer to read/write memory addresses. Chances are it will cause stutters in your UI elements. Use a new thread or background worker to keep the threads separated. If your conditional loop is running too quickly, slow it down with a thread sleep.

EDIT: if i use it like so, is the only way it gets compiled: --------------- AoBScan("",long.MaxValue,""); ------------------ but what is the "string code" first param ?

You could do a write then a freeze method. If you want the number to never be below a certain number, you'll have to write a loop and iterate over the variable to read what it currently is, and if it dips below a certain number, write to it and raise it back up.

It was taken down from NuGet due to the company assuming there was a virus in the package. We have since adjusted the library to use .NET standard instead of .NET framework or .NET core so it's more universal now. Since then it has been re-uploaded into 2 packages. Memory.dll.x86 and Memory.dll.x64 If you have a hard time finding them in the NuGet store, search by "NeWaGe" and you'll find it immediately.

I am kinda late but this probably means that the game you are trying to read memory is blocking these edits.

@@NewAgeSoldier Nope, we are talking about New OG XBOX trainers to run at the OG XBOX System. Believe it or not, at all youtube there isnt even 1 tutorial for this purposes. The only tutorials available are to install and add packs of trainers already created. Let me explain you more. There are some widescreen patch codes already created to change the Aspect Ratio of some games . This is an example, for the game OBSCURE at PAL version , at OG XBOX, it has a native aspect ratio of 4:3 only , changing the values at the XBE file (the runnable aplication of the disc) with this HEX CODE, the new aspect ratio will be turned to 16:9 : initial value D83D1CB5 2300D999 8C000000 D9442404 change to D83D28C2 2300D999 8C000000 D9442404. Of course this is the theory, I dont havy any idea about how to do it. But people using this Patch HEX codes until now, only change this at the ISO game installed on their Hard Drives. Sadly this adds more problems than solutions. What would happened if you want to connect the xbox to an old 4:3 screen, by any reason? You will need 2 games installed? One with the widescreen patch and other whitout it? Or what happened if you just want to play with your Original game disc? SO the Definitive solution would be turning these patch codes into OG XBOX TRAINERS to run the game , so you can choose if you want to play at 4:3 or 16:9. Sadly I am almost useless whit this kind of shit, so I am trying to learn how to do it in order to turn this a real project better people than me, for this matters, could follow (sorry If I have any errors, english is not my native language)

I would recommend starting with Cheat Engine. Then move onto make a trainer with Memory.dll

In Task Manager, there's a down arrow near the bottom, click on that. Then, right click on the process and select Go To Details. That will bring you to the actual process name. Beyond that, please reference the GitHub project Wiki docs for more information.

Having a good understanding of programming in general and C# will help you create these trainers. At 16:59 - While(true) is an infinite loop.

There isn't a lack of information. There's a wiki, there's an XML information file, there's a youtube video and there's a trainer repo with several example projects. You have tons of information. As for your issue, I don't see anything wrong with the code you pasted, but chances are the process isn't open. That’s correct. A temporary address would be temporary. A static address would repeat.

Wow classic is a normal version 1.13.1 client. It can be hacked the same as any other version. But I can’t guarantee you won’t get banned for trying.

C# can be a little tricky to work with this sort of thing. If you want to do some ASM changes, you’ll have to convert the instructions to bytes.

If you find the base pointer and it's offsets, they won't change. If you can't locate them, then you implement an AOB scan. I recommend learning some RE before trying to make a game trainer.

That's a good question. DarkBytes made a special .dll for speed hacking available on his Cheat Engine forums.

C# does not have a way of writing ASM.

FASM-managed can be executed at runtime to compile ASM to binary, which can be written to memory on the fly. It only works with 32 bit but it is still technically correct.
