It's a common thing, once you get used to using the tools so often. As long as you have a firm enough grip on the straightedge, your line should be straight as possible no matter how which or erratic your stroke.
👀 it will be awkward if ill be the one getting men's measurements but im a fan of nice tailored suits but i want to create one man's suit (yeah only one lol)..someday
@bunsen6054 If you didn't know this is how mens bespoke tailoring is done, do you know how to sew, draft patterns, or more importantly, any tailor? It takes 15-20+ years to become a master tailor with 3-5 years apprenticing. Without all that and more, sorry you're not starting a men's suit tailoring business. Unless you were being sarcastic...
@@gentlekorean6895 Is there any possibility to obtain your trouser drafting method or technique in writing? how much would it cost, I live in Panama in America and do not have taylor schools.
In my head there was this tiny lady repeating "It will be bold... dramatic... Heroic!" and this video is the gift that keeps on giving! Very relaxing and not too harsh, just my type of asmr :) Absolutely love it! Keep the good work! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I remember, that I as a kid helped my grandma to make a suit for myself. I could draw a lines with a sharpen bit of soap. Great memories. Awesome video by the way.
It reminds me when a few years ago my wife, who is a trained seamstress and seamstress, made a shirt for our 4 year old son from a shirt of mine. Another time, she sewed a skirt out of my niece's favorite jeans, embroidered her name and year of birth.
This is just beyond amazing. I could have this on a loop all night long. And as a very tall woman, I WISH I could have my clothes custom made. Would be a dream. I just can't afford it.
@@vogtrina I second this! I am not a super tall girl, but a lot of the time clothes will be too short or wide for me. Learning how to sew and tailor clothing to fit me has been a life saver, I can basically wear anything I want now even if it doesn't fit me in store. A few small adjustments later and it's perfect :D Great skill to learn, and the best part is, it's easy to learn the basics and grow from there. Practicing on old damaged clothes or cheap stuff from the thrift store is how I learned, no teaching required really, just a steady, skillful hand or a sewing machine.
i love how the sounds of sewing a handmade garment is done and the visual and helps give me a calm feeling the next time I make a dress without feeling too nervous :) thank you for the wonderful video and the suit made there is beautiful
For these suits, yes. For a factory made suit it is the materials, which is why they keep trying to use polyester and similarly cheap materials. Always go for wool, linen, or cotton, and dont do many blends
Nobody else here wondering how much something like this costs? Because here in the UK id have to sell my arm and leg to get this level of service and quality. I guess if I did sell my limbs the suit would be cheaper... Hmmm
Well, depends on the material, the maker and the amount of customization that goes into it, but it's safe to say that a completely bespoke suit to your exact measurements could go from 2500-3000£ all the way to 20,000£ and beyond.
Exactly. Especially Korean made items, they’re of some of the finest quality there and whilst I hope to have something made there, I’d have to sell a few limbs to even get just the jacket. I do suppose if I sell an arm it’ll be cheaper…
Here in the U.S. a bespoke suit with 2 pairs of slacks can run anywhere from $12K to $24K or more depending on the fabric. I used to make suits for one of the better known men’s houses in New York City and we had clients who would have a suit made every year because these are investments in a man’s appearance and oftentimes their careers. We would also restyle our older creations to bring them more in line with newer men’s styles. I have worked on fifty year old suits that restyled beautifully.
@@travisvanalst4698 maybe but it's kinda hard to scam someone on a bespoke suit since it's got to be made first brfore you pay, how you gonna scam a guy on that, using cheaper thread or something, put plastic buttons on and claim it's horn?
bro i dont know who you are but let me just say this...your wrist control, finesse and attention to detail...incredible! Not to mention the camera angles, focus and editing?!?! The individuals that put their hands together to make this, i commend and respect it because you can tell how serious about the art they are. I don't even like asmr lol I just clicked because of the suit and pattern making and ended up stumbling on complete masterpiece!
I’m currently training to become a tailor and i love seeing how different every individual works when it comes to clothing . Loved this video! Thank you for sharing :))
That’s great! I am learning to sew and learning to tailor my own clothing, it is interesting to see individuals creating such incredible works of art. I think that Korean tailors have the finest quality pieces and I hope to have something made there when I travel. I hope to travel to different places around the world and have pieces made everywhere. I hope one day to find you there, I believe in your dream of becoming a tailor.
This reminded me of back in middle school where I had to do fashion studies subject (which was quite an unusual subject to have for a public school around my area). It's actually really satisfying to watch actual tailor doing the stuff we were taught to do haha... I remembered being assigned to do a form fitting vest as a final project and I honestly wanna cry on the measurements and pattern-making part which took so long. Also apparently the whole thing was off so I ended up making the vest too big. At least I still got a B- for it.. 😅 Thank you for the superb video, it's very relaxing 👍
I absolutely loved this video. Satisfying. Some watch popping things (gross), I’ll take this type of video over that ANY DAY! Super talented suit maker, and super talented editor.
This video is great , matter of fact I give major props to this fella getting down on a suit from scratch and pair of slacks 💯💪 but the soothing sounds of the scissors cutting puts my right to sleep 💤
This is so engaging to watch, I bought myself so suiting wool so I could make myself a suit one day because I knew if I didn't get right there I would never be able to find something like when I finally get around to making it.
As someone who is huge into bespoke tailoring, even though I know how the guy I get my stuff made at does his work, always nice to see how different artisans apply their magic. Thanks a ton for the video.
Loved the video! I was searching for tutorials and while watching couldnt stop thinking about how this process could be automatized with laser cutters to accelerate and allow for more productivity. I know this is an art and enjoy it but i always think of this kind of stuff
Amazingly, textile production is one of the only industries that is still unable to be automated, due to the unpredictability and adaptive handling required for it. Even to make a basic T-shirt industry still resorts to a production line as the most "efficient" way to produce. Reassuring to know that skills aren't futile, but it is definitely the cause for many ethical labour issues.
