Tell me your honest opinion, good idea or bad? How do you think it'll work out? Can you see the difference in the "after" photo?

I'm doing the same on my 1998 chevy k3500 with a Ford dana 60 kingpin front axle the chevy wheel wells are even smaller than yours and I'm running 7 inches of lift so hopefully I can clear 40s

Worked good for me, I'm 100% rub free wheel lock to lock

Question: I'm confused, did you relocate the shock mount aswell? I've also got 40s on my F250 and when I go over a bump at lock it rubs my fender so I've been looking to do this. Thanks!

Sorry for the slow response, for the shock mount plate on the top you can either make a second top plate that shifts it forward as well, or you can grind out a larger hole up top to clear the spring pack center bolt. The shock itself has 2 bushings at 90 degrees which allow motion in all directions so the shock itself is fine

Longer front hanger would do same deal and easier

This should work for moving the axle back also?

Excellent!!! Is the front leaf spring center pin size 5/16?
@buildsomethingstupid1736
@buildsomethingstupid1736 2 года назад
My center pin was 3/8 with 5/8 head. However when I replaced it I noticed the hole was big enough for 1/2 pin so I used that instead just because I could.

@@buildsomethingstupid1736 Is the 5/8 of the head unchanged?

@@HS-gs6jc yes I used the drill press and grinder to make a perfectly round 5/8 head

Did you have any alignment issues after the install?

Is is to clear 37”s. Or what was the goal?
@buildsomethingstupid1736
@buildsomethingstupid1736 2 года назад
This is to clear 40s without having to cut the rear of the fender, they do it a lot on jeeps too. Aftermarket bumpers have huge clearance im the front so it's not a problem on that side.
