@@zacheduque336 Let's say Zion for Hayward's contract, Mark Williams, #2 and a future pick (or multiple, whatever). Then maybe BI and #14 for Anfernee Simons and #3? Whatever the packages end up looking like, you'd get Scoot and Brandon Miller and a bunch of other assets. Move CJ, Alvarado, Valunciunas, and maybe Naji Marshall for even more assets. Flip Anfernee Simons for another very nice package? Theoretically: Scoot, Herb Jones, Miller, Trey Murphy, Mark Williams starting 5, Dyson Daniels off the bench, a million future 1sts and 2nds, and salary cap room.

Maybe they’re sick of Zion’s BS, and figure they’ve tried the coddling, they’re done w it. Tough love time. Float him in a trade rumor let him know he’s not untouchable. And let’s be real, he’s not. Basically nobody is. If CHA offered them 2/Hayward’s expiring and like Mark Williams + some future Unprotected 1sts, NOP would prolly do it. If they offered 2, LaMelo, Mark Williams, and took back CJ’s contract they’d surely do it. It won’t happen, but nobody’s untouchable. CHA would be…not smart to take BI for P2. POR at 3 makes more sense if they’re really trying to win around Dame. That’s prolly the single best player they could get if NOP offered him for 3, which I don’t believe they would unless he asked out. It’s silly bc they’ve blessed POR with a great pick and even a team at 2 that may pass on Scoot, yet it seems like POR still isn’t going to trade Dame and rebuild like they should. This is prolly the last year Dame would return a v solid haul, and it’s the last time you’re gonna have a chance to pick 3rd to start your rebuild w him. MIA would give them a ton of valuable picks and a young guy or two, BKN would likely give them a bundle of picks, likely a cpl other teams interested. They could have like P3, P23, numerous future 1sts, Simons, Sharpe, Nas Little, cpl other young guys, could S&T Jerami for a 1st, etc. Just an amazing head start to a rebuild. Instead it seems like they’re gonna waste that opportunity all to likely end up being a 2nd round playoff team for 2-3yrs. Then Dame’s value will be close to nil, and they probably will trade a possible young future All-Star talent or two in the process. Jody Allen rly needs to sell that team.

That seems like such a MJ thing to do. He sold his majority stake tho. If the new owners are smart they won’t do that. MJ is just constantly trying to take shortcuts to win and that’s why he’s failed over and over as an owner. Hayward is a great example. Trading for BI would be a very similar move. Super talented but injury prone SF. BI is better than Hayward was at the time bc Hayward was already having the injuries, but BI keeps missing a bunch of time for pretty ticky tack stuff. I remember this season he had a toe injury, announced as sprained toe originally and that he’d be like day to day, maybe a week out. He missed like a month prolly more. It was crazy.

I feel like Pels would also get some value back other than #2. Let’s not forget who Zion Williamson is. If they give #14 the two other 1st’s wouldn’t be needed unless they ask for some players from the Hornets.
