This is so cute!! This has inspired me to make a Princess Peach mini dress!.

I love seeing how you Frankenstein non-costume patterns together with costume patterns to get the look you need! I've tried to keep that in mind when pattern shopping since I started watching your channel. The dress is so cute! 💛🧡

The dress turned out super cute! I've also had to do similar adjustments to patterns due to weight gain (where my waist measurement is on a larger pattern size than my shoulders and bust). What has helped a lot for fit is pattern grading. It's a lot easier than it sounds, especially if your measurements are still in the size range of the pattern envelope. While it does take a little more time in the beginning, the fit you get at the end is worth it!

team august 🙏 but also omg listen, my body is basically pear shaped, so my shoulders are small - esp because I work with weights for my neck problems. my hips are just naturally wide and I'm a little chubby. so if it fits at the hips, it's too big on my shoulders - if it fits on my shoulders then it's too tight around the hips. my sewing class teacher always has to help me readjust everything because it would be too easy to just work with a pattern as it comes lmao

Super cute!! I think it turned out really good! I love the orange converse, that goes really well with the dress, and is great for if you're gonna be on your feet all day like at a theme park lol. The shorter skirt kinda reminds me of your lolita dresses--Daisy lolita cosplay mayhaps? multipurpose! It's too about about the Luigi bag, but the Mario bag is very cute. I was taught by my grandma but she never got a chance to show me the fancy stuff or teach me the terminology. Thanks for sharing the this with us. :)

I know how annoying it is to hear a correction after posting, so Im sorry but I say this with love! But for future reference, the hem you did is actually called a double fold hem, a rolled hem is done a little differently, though it can be done in a few ways, but its generally much smaller, usually between an eight to a quarter of an inch or 3-7mm. I will say tho using a cup as a crown pattern is genius! I will have to steal that!!
