Just a quick note on that Brownells RAS. Technically, it was not made by P&S. It was made by Prudent American Technologies, which acquired P&S at some point. PAT declared bankruptcy in October 2023, which is why the Brownells listings for the M4 and M5 RAS were taken down. For cloners, it's back to the dark ages of buying old, salty, beat up KAC RAS off of GunBroker or GAFS.
You’ll have fun with the rifle gas system. I’ve built a barrel with all the way down to 15” with a rifle length system and it shoots Russian steel case ammo fine, I just opened the gas port to the same diameter as the tube. Have fun Brother.

M16A5 was the designation for a failed 20” m16 with A5 buffer system and carbine stock. This is where vltor got the idea for the A5 system and why it’s called this. In fact SOLGW and VLTOR got together to make an M16A5 for sale
Yes, I believe I watched your video about the A5 or you stated it in one. The M-16 had many iterations and I figured I’d make an A5 style modern dissipator.
Glad to see a real rifle length gas system Dissy 👍. I didn't know Brownell's was doing a Dissipator, will definitely check it out. Also good to see they went with a lightweight barrel profile and not some dam heavy barrel.
I've been running a faux Dissipator from PSA for over a decade, I like the look. I purchased items to build my own unfortunately this parts are in storage. I plan on seeing if I can get Anderson Manufacturing to send me one of theirs. I believe they are great to introduce new shooters to the AR that don't have an interest in looking for a lot of accessories. Soft shooting with fixed sights, add a white light and a sling, you have a complete set up.
Well I wanted a 605 when brownells had them but they sold out, then they discontinued most of the retro line, they’ve brought it back in some way but yet most people want complete builds
I’ve got a Dissipator build also and it’s amazing. Soft shooting and still a short-ish 16” barrel. Mine has been reliable and no dwell time issues. Sandman K is pretty bad though. It’s okayish on my .308 AR.
soo, i am working on my next build, Griffin- using my DI sales code.. and gonna get a GP5, 12 inch barrel, and the rest all Griffen MK2 lower etc.. I love my PSR7.. this weekend it rocked on my LaRue 20 inch Stealth complete build.. but my next build is the Griffin Mk2 .. my new gas Snatch charging handle- Gen2 workded awesome.. i couldnt belive how it out preformed the Raptor!! The Gen 2 GasSnatch charging handle rocks! . i am enjoying your videos, you do a god job and are fun to watch! many thanx!! Cheers from The Maine Woods!

Was out shooting my retro (faux)Dissy build over the weekend. Been thinking about picking up the Brownells barrel for another build or to swap out the barrel in the current build. Was hitting steel with irons at like 60 yards on Saturday with ease so it's hard to argue with that. Yea it sucks those rails went away...had thought of picking one up, but missed out. I've been wanting one of those PWS lowers but if the mags don't drop free without having to rip the mag out, I'll definitely pass on that lower. You should switch to a left handed upper so you don't have to breath so much of that toxic gas. I switched 5 of my AR's over to left handed piston operation and I hardly breath any gas any more. It's a game changer.

As a fellow left handed shooter, why do you drop the bolt on your reloads with your right hand? The fastest reloads for lefties is with the trigger finger of the left hand..... Also, why are you using a right handed upper, especially while suppressed? Your face being that close to the ejection port is a good way to fast track yourself to a cancer diagnosis.
